    backpack fogger recommendation

New house 11 acres, pretty sure I'm going to have a mesquito problem this summer. My yard is roughly an acre and sorrounded by trees and low wet areas. What backpack sprayer/fogger in your experience has the best reach to be able to get up into the trees. Willing to entertain all brands, we have...

    Stihl 064 bar size

Recently rebuilt and 064 with a Cross big bore kit and am looking to start gathering pieces to put together a milling setup. Would a 36" bar be a good fit for this saw? Would mostly be milling pine but there would likely be the occasional maple or ash in there. Log size would probably max out...

    Stihl 026 differences

Have two 026 saws, fairly close in serial number, different mufflers, one has a plugged decomp port in the cylinder. Huge difference in torque between the two. What I’m wondering is, are the differences between them more than cosmetic

    Stihl 064 project

Just picked up a complete low compression 064 for $180. Pulled the jug and have transfer on both intake and exhaust sides, haven't checked anything beyond that but I'm planning on replacing the seals along with the intake boot, impulse, fuel lines. While I'm in there should I go ahead and go...

    Jonsered Big Red 460

Anyone have any info on the Big Red 460 brush cutter? Pulled one out of our scrap bin that's in good shape and still has great compression. Looking for an IPL and any other info on them. Looks like this one might just need a carb and some recoil work.

    Hutzl 372xp

Anyone built a Hutzl 372xp? I have an OEM 372 cylinder on my bench that I can clean up and track down a meteor piston. Thinking it might be a decent little project and my brother could use a firewood saw, I've always wanted a 372.

    372xp rebuild

I just rebuilt a 372xp for a friend of mine, He took it to the local Husky dealer(not a good place to bring a saw here) to get tuned up and they tuned her out a little way too lean. Ended up with a melted down saw. He only paid $300 for this thing in almost mint condition from his brother in law...

    Cutting aluminum?

I have a guy on another forum looking for a way to cut a LOT of roughly 2" thick aluminum plate as part of a salvage/demo job. I told him he might be able to get by using a chainsaw and the right chain. I remember hearing of guys cutting lead blocks at the foundry and am wondering what people...

    cutting ice?

I do a little bit of spearing up here just a little bit north of everything and Im wondering if there is a better chain for cutting holes in the ice. I am currently using Stihl RSC on a 25" bar. Im wondering if going to skip might help clear the slush better or maybe square ground. What do you...

064 piston in an 046 cylinder?

I am building an 044/046 hybrid and I think I remember hearing about another member using an 064 piston in an 046 (both are 52mm) I am wondering what the advantages to this are and what it takes to make it happen. I have a line on an 064 piston that is cheaper than most aftermarket ones so thats...

    Husky 35

Does anybody have one of these? I know a guy that wants to sell me one for $20. Is it worth it, I know it runs decent because I tuned it up for him last summer and he put it on the shelf. Whats your thoughts on these little saws?

    whats it worth

What is a good running 026 worth with a new b/c, fuel line/filter, rim. Just wondering for reference. I see a lot for sale and Im wondering what a good price would be as a good firewood/limbing saw

    044 carb

Did the 044 and 046 use the same walbro carb? How bout the 044 magnum. I am looking to swap carbs on my 044 is there a better one than the walbro that will bolt on.

    Husky 334t

Does anyone have any experience with the husky 334T top handle saw? I am looking at a used one that needs carb work and am wondering how it compares to the 192t. What is a good price for this saw that needs carb work

Nothing but nice things to say

I'm getting tired of the battles going on in some of these threads. Why can't we just hold our tongues and ignore the inflammatory comments. The people starting these wars are just feeding on the attention. If we just let the threads die they will eventually go away.

    044 tank vent?

were there two different tank vents for the 044's. My IPL shows a piece that goes outside the tank but mine has the rubber umbrella valve inside the tank with a filter and tube outside the tank. Do these parts interchange or can someone give me a part number for what I have?

    Stihl Torx head screws

I am putting together an 044 project saw and I need to find the torx head screws that hold the starter side on. If anyone is willing to part with some that would be awsome. I see bailey's has them but at a buck a piece plus the S/H charge it wouldnt be worth it. I am trying to get all the bolts...

anybody ever put a small mount stihl on a mid mount stihl

I have a bar from a small mount stihl (3005) mount and I want to make it fit on a 3003 mount saw. Is there enough material in the tail of the bar to make this work? has anyone out there done it?
