Another thought on octane: It is measured in different ways, if you look on a gas pump it says R+M/2 method. All gas used in automobiles is supposed to be measured this way. Aviation fuel is measured diffrently, using only one of the two measurements. You get a artifically high octane...

I think those stickers are just to show how long a saw is expected to be within emissions standards without a rebuild being done. It might be a different sticker than I am thinking of though.

Eastern KY was hit very hard too. Not much of a market for cleanup folk though. I have found some nice logs that I intend to "cleanup" for some people. :D

A big ice storm came thru this area last weekend (2-14) and knocked a lot of hardwood down in very accessible areas. Basically, you can't give a load of firewood away here right now. I have happened across several nice logs that people want taken away, so I guess it all evens out.:D

Sounds like what I expected. Still not a bad saw for $20. Needed fuel, bar oil, and the chain hit a few licks with a file.:D

The O-ring showed no damage at all, even after we were able to hear air puffing around it. The way the banshee engine is designed leaves areas 2 inches or more without a water jacket thru it. The water jackets are kinda like this ( ) The warpage was occuring in one of those areas...

I like to use a 18 to 20 incher for general farm use. I rarely find myself needing anything larger.
