    MS462c really hot start issue

Never had that problem with Mtrons but don't have a 462 either. Just 261,362,441, 661 mtronics. And that was in Ga. heat in the summer. However the Huskies Auto Tune I did. What worked best was to choke them off when done. Then set the fast idle on restart and never had another problem...

    Choose one quick 066 660 or 661

2 661s here. Great saws. No problems and way better on fuel in production. You can feel the Mtron kicking in more fuel when the going get's tough. Had a 066, good saw but the 661 is just better from my experience. Better AV, newer air filter, carb always perfectly set, better mileage...

    Smoothest saw

576xp/at very smooth. Not one problem and plenty of torque for it's class.

    Stihl 441

I've had one of the first sold and then ported in 2011. Still performing excellent. Great for what it is.

    Very nice 661. Good deal.

What to pair with my MS241? 362CM OR 461

Very very few people in chainsaws, automobiles or trucks having owned more ever ask for less of an engine. HP rules because it's always there.... and quiet when you don't.

Toasted my clone ms660 on amsoil at 100:1

Maybe the Devil is a female? Just kidding. 50:1 Saber here in ported chainsaws and 64:1 in all handhelds like blowers etc. All tuned Spot On. Never a failure thus far.

    Used ms261 or new ms261c-m

Around here you get 10% off on a new one. The newer saw IF it is the N.E. ms261 is less weight. And has Mtronic well worth the upgrade. And Stihl has a great resale value so look at your new saw as a CD, they hold value if you decide to sell. I'd go new all the way. Buy the 6 pack of oil to...

Inside the MS462C - Snellerized Style

And just saying one more thing. The value that these guys charge for their quality service is CHEAP compared to any other engine modification in other performance arenas you can buy. Personalized serviced, hours that they take and shipping you can't complain. And don't forget the production...

Inside the MS462C - Snellerized Style

Being an end user of the talent that's here and not knowing a damn thing about porting nor wanting to know I just like cutting like a possessed maniac with great modified equipment. Keep up the great work to all. Production Rules.

Inside the MS462C - Snellerized Style

So actually a Strato engine should use lower ratio of oil/gas than a std engine for lubrication?

    562xp run with larger saws?

I think in the firewood cutting divisions of guys more saw is used than necessary most of the time. It's just what we do. The 562xp will pull a 28" full comp semi-chisel in N.E. hardwood, though slow it will. If necessary. The oiler seems to do O.K., not optimum but O.K. They are quite a...

    372xp 572xp ms461

The EHP 372xp non-xtorq I have is a runner as well. Not only fast but deceiving so. The power is wide and linear. One of my favorite saws.

    I've searched... Oil Thread

Saber can be adjusted per ratio to the job and equipment at hand. As stated previously by others I use it in Four Mix engines. Fine in stock or ported chainsaws. Tuned correctly and ratio set accordingly. There are so many great oils out there AND so many poor oils. Experience supports...

    My first Stihl MS362-CM

MS362 is a great all around saw. Smooth and reliable. For a one saw plan a good choice.
  19. porsche965

    Ms261c or ms362c

    Buy it.
  20. porsche965

    Ms261c or ms362c

The new edition MS261 is lighter and has a touch more HP than the first edition MS261. I don't see much difference between a 261 and 362 up to 20" bar/chain and beyond that it's time, as others have said for a 70cc saw.
