A leasing company gave me a couple downed oaks. Cut two loads today.

Went out for a while to fire a few rounds & cut a little while there.

Haven't posted in a while so here goes. Cut a little today, very green red oak. The tree had fell across the phone line. The limbs were cut first & part of the trunk today. So far 4 loads.

Began slow, found only a pile of 80/20 softwood/hardwood but I could park my truck next to it. The bark was dirty so about a truck load was all I could do before sharping. Then I came on this. And made 'bout 20 loads of this.

There are no secrets. This is simple stuff. Don't need a guide, machine, instructions, or anything but a file & my keen eye. Put this chain on (top picture), took my trusty file & after a few minutes it was sharp (bottom picture).
