    How big are Cords

I was wondering if anybody actually bought four foot pieces. I am just gonna make a bunch of face cords, let them sit a year and then offer them up for sale. Competition BBQ is my thing really but I have never cared for Pecan wood. It burns fast and does not leave coals, only ashes. I prefer...

    How big are Cords

Thanks. I have an abundance of pecan wood on the ground due to Hurricane Ike. Was just trying to figure out how to best sell it. I need to get a log splitter. I have been splitting it with a maul.

    Chain Sharpening Going Well

Well, I bought one of those Oregon sharpening jigs. Its ok but I dont like the plastic areas on it. I also had to buy a file to go with it and it came with one of those guides that rides right on the file. That works real well. I also noticed that its pretty easy to sharpen a chain without...

    Pitch Question

Its been suggested by some on this site that I would do better with a .325 pitch on my 455 Rancher. I have contacted Bailey's and they have everything that is needed to make the conversion. Its pretty cheap to do it. I have a couple of questions though. 1. Why would one pitch be better than...

    chain stretching

I will look on the bar. I did finally figure out that Husqvarna website is just wrong. Every aftermarket chain and bar company I looked at last night listed it as .375

    ?Another Chain Question

I looked on Baileys site and couldnt find the sprocket I was looking for, that does not mean it aint there, I just dont know what I am looking at yet. I sent them an email asking them if they have what I need and how much will it be. More than likely gonna do it ifin it can be done. I want a...

    ?Another Chain Question

Ok. Do I just tell the Husqvarna dealer that I want a 325 sprocket for a 455 Rancher and he will know what it is I am trying to do or is there a specific part number I need to tell him? Is it not available aftermarket? By the way, Thank You very much for the help and information.

    ?Another Chain Question

Thanks for clearing that up for me. There is no chance I can do the conversion myself?

    ?Another Chain Question

The weird thing is that Husqvarna's website says it runs the 325 but all of the aftermarket bars and chain sites I am looking at says its 3/8. Can I convert the saw to .325 and if so, where do I look for the parts.

    chain stretching

I am real confused now, I got the above from Bailey's site but the Husqvarna site says the pitch is 325 yet the Bailey's site says its a 3/8 pitch. Any ideas? Is there a way to look at the saw and tell what the pitch is? Nope, didnt know that was an issue
