    SpeedCo Splitter Split

That happened to me and I was out of warranty. I contacted them and they replaced it. You have obviously modifiedthe wedge so I can’t say if they would.

Any small engine techs? My splitter engine is having issues.

These are the only two tags I could find, and I’m unable to get anywhere online by searching the serial number, etc. I don’t normally have a problem cross referencing parts.

Any small engine techs? My splitter engine is having issues.

I don’t suppose anyone knows which carb I would need for the Briggs 10.5 I/c ohv? I can’t seem to find a part number online.

Any small engine techs? My splitter engine is having issues.

I am having problems with my Speeco splitter engine. The last time I was running it, it died and I had a hard time getting it started again. It kept flooding and I would have to pull the plug because it was so wet. Today I used some starting fluid and it popped right over. After about five...

Burning ASH, how soon can you burn it.

I get tons of dead ash here. Split and stacked, it will burn ok in 3 months, but I prefer a year.

Anyone in SE Wisconsin willing to sell a cord or two?this y

I’m looking for 1-2 cords of seasoned wood. Every year, my parents say it’s their last year of burning and every year they let me know around this time tha they are going to use the stove again this year. I don’t have enough wood for them so if anyone wants to sell any, please contact me. Thanks...

I Gotta Hand it to You

I’m feeling ya. I have rotator cuff issues and, while it doesn’t bother me while cutting, I’m definitely feeling it later that day. This spring I have about a dozen trees to take down and I’m achy just thinking about it.

The highly valuable black walnut tree thread

I’ve milled my own with a chainsaw mill. Even painted, stickered, and weighted it was still twisty. A few runs through the planer fixed it but........

The highly valuable black walnut tree thread

I’m in the process of acquiring my grandparents farm. Grandpa always thought he would get rich off BW trees so the place is loaded with them.....messy, dangerous(falling nuts in fall), etc. My plan is to live in th existing farmhouse and build a new house in the next 1-2 years. There are a few...

    Dirtyhandtools 25t splitter

While I don’t have a DHT, splitter maintenance should be about the same regardless. I agree with the above posters, and I will add keeping the beam clean and sprayed with wd40 when not in use. A little surface rust won’t kill it but I like to keep on top of it.

Another “this stove vs that stove”

Have you considered a wood furnace add on? Remember that a wood stove is a “space heater” and the space you are trying to heat may not be feasible.

    Yardmax 4-way Wedge for Hardwood

I just looked at the pictures of the 4-way they make, I have to say it looks a lot more solid than the Speeco 4 way I bought. I’ve had to make a few “adjustments” to mine to keep it in place.

Would you pay extra for Hedge firewood

It’s a generalization, but IMO most people who know the btu benefit of hedge would probably not be the ones who buy firewood.

The highly valuable black walnut tree thread

Our family farm is loaded with large, mature walnut trees. My grandfather had the idea that he would get rich from the lumber some day. Of course, no one could tell him otherwise. Now he is gone and I was thinking of having a few milled into flooring boards but I can only imagine how much metal...
