    Efco Mt4000

I have a 372xp and some what I call "trash" saws that I used for cutting firewood. I supposed the right word would be "limbing" saws. I have somewhat of this ocd thing where I can't seem to run expensive tools in manors I feel wrong haha. I guess that is why there are professional made saws...

    Running chainsaw on nitro?

Ahh thanks for the reply. I have never smelled that castor bean oil you mentioned. I run klotz now just for the heck of it, sometimes regular 2 stroke oil can just smell so plain :-) Well then I guess I will leave the nitro mix alone and never worry about it again thanks again

    Running chainsaw on nitro?

Ok before anyone goes yelling at me for thinking this, just hear me out. I was at the local chainsaw competition, which is really just a silly little show for the city people to watch. The hot saws were being run on what smelled like a nitro gas mix, it smelled like little rc engines...

A question for all you sparkies!

Just hire someone please... I don't have a lot of experience I am still young but I can tell from what I have seen so far its best to just hire someone when it comes to electrical and others have said it but I'm saying it again. Oh and make sure you do some research on who you hire because...

I dont know how you guys up north do it....

Hardest thing for me here in northeast ohio is the cloudy days, which seem to be more than less!! It seems the sun never likes to shine around here during the winter months which adds to the length of it. The snow making things hard to do doesn't help either and the mud in the spring...

    going on vacation

I don't have one but it sounds what you are talking about should work. What about draining the owb? I really think heating the owb with your indoor furnace is not going to be very efficient.

    Atmos boilers

Yeah that does suck that they don't. I contacted Atmos and they gave me a place in Canada and Alaska that sell the Atmos brand. They said they don't sell to the US I guess Alaska isn't the US anymore :-) There is a place http://www.ctgreenheatllc.com/ that sells Atmos and ekos I guess from...

    Atmos boilers

Anyone have any experience with these? I guess Atmos does not sell to the United States yet. Check out www.kotly.com they have a currency converter on the page. I don't know if there is more to it but their prices are really low.

Nothing like wood cutting/hauling in powder...

I spent last weekend cutting wood. Friend of ours logged out about 50 acres and there is a lot of stuff in there. We have about a foot of the white stuff on the ground and yeah it sucks but something to do I guess. Hardest part is finding stuff to cut up, kicking around little humps of snow...

    Blaze King Classic Woodstoves

I second that about getting the house airtight. It makes a huge huge difference just adding that plastic on the windows in the winter. I heat 2400 sq/ft with a jotul firelight and it can be difficult at times when it gets down below zero to keep the place comfortable. The house was built in...

wet wood or not wet wood ???

Keep buring both wet and dry wood and in 5 or so years get back with us and see what you figured out :-) I pretty much bet you will be out in the spring cutting instead of the fall....Possibly maybe even having a few years stock so you can rotate. I heat 2500 sqft with jotul firelight and I...

Reasons why we don't burn pressure treated wood.

I'm curious now like others asked how do you get rid of the stuff? I know dumpsters have all sorts of regulations on them but from what I can remember I don't believe PT wood was in the no dump list.

    Making wood pellets?

I could just light it on fire like they did on mythbusters it would heat for a few seconds.. I couldn't imagine those china imports would last very long either I would think there is a lot of stress involved in smashing wood into pellets. I guess it looks like need to come up with a safe...

    Making wood pellets?

Yeah I just want heat from it and I have thought about using a blower type system but it didn't get past my skull :-) I will have to try something out because its a shame not to get some heat out of it.

    Making wood pellets?

Anyone try their hand at making wood pellets? I have a lot of sawdust from my woodworking and sure would like to use it somehow.

    wood conveyour

I think I have seen gear reducers for the small engines? Probably too expensive though.

Here we go again.....Outdoor wood burners raise a stink!

I don't have an OWB yet but I know plenty that do and they really don't smoke that much in my opinion. Yes there are units that do smoke more then others and yes there are things you shouldn't burn in them. You buy a cheap indoor woodfurnace, stove, boiler and it will smoke and stink just as bad...

    Wiring an OWB (Shaver)

Good glad we can agree on that part of this :-)

    Wiring an OWB (Shaver)

If you don't use a 2P on a multiwire what happens when you do work on the circuit and you don't turn one leg off? Is there not a potential to become a path to ground if something was plugged in or switched on on the still hot leg of the multi?

    Wiring an OWB (Shaver)

Just trying to point out the right direction to wire up that particular circuit. You can't wire, plumb, or build a house the way you want to if it isn't to code. Honestly I don't even know if running 2 circuits on a 12/3 is to code around my neck of the woods. If then next person in line buys...
