    75 Dodge wood hauler

It's great to see some old Dodge survivors. Here's a few pics of my 1977 W200. I bought it last spring and have been working on it when I have time. Just put it on the road a couple moths ago.

Absolutely! Anything that allows people to be independent and take care of themselves is looked down on by the government.

Tree picking from sides of roads

I don't know if you have any National Forest land nearby, but I get most of my wood off the local National Forest. It's $20 a year for a dead and down permit and you can cut 5 cords.

    My woodhauling Sub is down

My problem was the pump. Replaced it yesterday with a Delphi; started right up and is running fine.

    My woodhauling Sub is down

Well , I got a pressure gauge today and when I turn the key on I have 45 pounds. When I start cranking it actually goes down to around 40. The manual says 60-66, so I guess my pump is toast. Now comes the fun part. Thanks for all the replies!

    My woodhauling Sub is down

That's the weird thing about all this; the truck was running perfect right up to the second it quit. I had driven about 100 miles, pulling a trailer, up and down hills; never even a hesitation. Can't remember ever having one die without warning like that.

    My woodhauling Sub is down

I'm going to get a gauge so I can check that pressure. If I have to put a pump in, I'm cutting an access hatch in the floor:chainsaw: My Nissan car has one under the back seat; I can change the pump in it in about 45 minutes, without having to lay on the ground, drain the tank, all that good...

    My woodhauling Sub is down

I used to work with the guy driving the truck. He helps out his son who actually owns the truck and body shop, and I've known him since he was a kid. No worries on getting the glass replaced; just a nuisance. I did put a new filter on and I know I'm getting fuel as far as the fuel rail. I did...

    My woodhauling Sub is down

I know we've got some good mechanics on here, so here's my problem: I have a 1996 K2500 Suburban, 5.7, 136,000 miles, automatic. It had been running great, but quit on the way home a couple nights ago, just like turning off the key. I have spark but no fuel. I had to have it hauled home. To add...

When I first put my system in I had a larger Grundfos pump on the run to the radiators in the garage and the small Armstrong 30 that came with the furnace running the HX in the house. I thought, longer run, bigger pump. I wasn't getting enough heat in the house so I contacted Shaver and they...

What kind of insulation is on the line running to the shop? Any chance there's groundwater getting in around the pipe? My guess is you're losing heat to the ground. I have a similar setup in my garage; three radiators, 150' from the OWB. I don't have as big a temp loss as you do, but it's...

It's in a well through the top of the water jacket. Set to F. This is the third winter with it and has always worked great.

I had a problem with the Ranco on my Shaver 165 this morning. Woke up to cool house and less than hot water in the shower. Checked pumps, blower, etc, and figured out that the Ranco was showing water temp. in the furnace was 178 when it was actually just lukewarm. When I set the temp up to...

I never checked with a thermometer, but I think about the same; warm to the touch, but not so hot you can't leave your hand on the door. Big difference from an uninsulated door with either one.

I used fiberglass for awhile but it does degrade over time. I've had the ceramic blanket in for a whole winter and no sign of any deterioration. I just slid it in and it has stayed put; didn't have to add any supports.

    Spring!! firewood cutting

Looks like spring might finally be here. Still a little snow on the ground here, but nice sunny weather the last few days, so I've been getting out the last couple days cutting wood with my oldest son. Here's a couple pics. Anyone else cutting?

    2004 Jonsered 2150 Jubilee :)

I have had a 2149 turbo since new. It has been a great saw; have never done a thing to it. It's solid, comfortable to run, and fast. Hardly ever have to clean the air filter. I usually run an 18" bar, but have run a 20 and it handles it fine.
