If you want to take the time.. sand them out with wet paper down to about 1200 grit. Then put them on a buffer with brown rogue then white rogue. This will make them shine like new with no need to clear them. JP

I have an 020av that went through a house fire. The crankcase was filled up with water. Emptied it out put a 32:1 mix in it with a good synthetic oil. Fired it up and it runs great though.... I have to find a black plastic top of the handle as its all warped from the heat.

Not to dissuade you but blueing is actually a rusting process... it does not prevent rusting in the future...

Under the air filter on my MS460 there is a baffle that that air has to travel around before it enters the carburetor intake. It seems unnecessary. Is this another EPA addition od does it really help smooth out the airflow into the carb?

I have an MS460 with about 10 hours on it that I want to do a mild port job on. The saw currently has 175lbs of compression and .032 squish. I have not measured port timings as I don't plan to change any of that as it is my first port job. I still have the jug bolted to the saw till I get some...
