Mine was. Now I’m putting it back together. Better diet, exercise ( not the same as work), and better sleep. I finally admitted that at 45 I can’t act like I’m 25. Well I can but my body don’t recover the same

    To look up, or not!

While cutting I look at what I’m doing while glancing up to check on things. Vibration from the saw can knock things loose above. As it starts to move I’m looking for what’s happening up there and choosing which of my escape routes is best. Then I get out. Two or three steps and I place the saw...

    Vermeer Parts

Not sure on how they have those put together but you could check landmark machinery for parts.

I like it. Not built as tough as the old ones though. Got to be a bit more gentle or the hood gets dented🤬

Ctx100 and the reliable 650tx ready for tomorrow morning. Only work related pics I’ve taken in a while. There are a couple hundred pics of Tim McGraw and Winona Judd that my wife took last weekend while we enjoyed the concerts

I respect that. I should’ve added that the spider leg rigging was both of our choice for the situation that day. The kid loves to monkey around as well. Really doesn’t take him much time to set up the balancers. What’s your preference on chokers? Endless loops or eyes? I’ve got guys that love...

@dbl612 Explain please. I will say that we could’ve probably tip tied it and raised it up as he cut. Also could’ve used slings and tried to guess the balance point. Today was a bunch of choke and strokes. Only two trees that we had to make two picks on. Done by lunch

    Need some help

@ZinTrees You brought up some good points. I just want to make sure you know that your EHAP does not make you qualified to do line clearance. That should have been made known in the class. It’s still a grey area just like riding the crane ball. It does allow you to get closer to the lines but...

Curious as well. Sounds much better than having guys lose every night and saturdays for a few months

I think it’s a bit more complicated than just switching plug ends. I believe there are some wires that need changed out on or in the motors as well. We had a power washer at work that could do both but wiring needed changed.

I’ve never liked the ford or gm chassis bucket trucks. Suspension feels to soft to me. Sorry about the truck. Glad everyone is ok. Driver might need new pants though

It’s nothing that they already don’t know. I constantly remind a lot of them that they wouldn’t be here if I was the owner.

I’d love to have a pa giant but the guys I work with can flip skid loaders over ( twice in the last two years) and don’t get me started on the mini skids.

    How would you bid this?

Bid mid range to worst case scenario. If they already have a municipal arborist division, those guys will be given the gravy. I like that they have the DBH set up in 6” increments. We have one contract that is in one foot increments and it really pisses me off when I do a 47” DBH for the same...
