I'll never use pallets again. they rot and you fall through them in just a couple of years. I now stack my wood on a pair of 'stickers" from lumber. they are about 3" square by 4' long, much easier to deal with.
Iowa and myself started the wood stove journey at the same time 4 years ago and I started right off with an EPA certified wood stove and I've been trying to get him to upgrade ever since. My stove doesn't smoke. Why would he use less wood than me?
Brent, I told you you needed to get a new modern stove. Now, lets see who of us uses less wood!
I have 7 years of wood split and stacked, and now im getting ready to move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not to worry, i just got a text sayin his stove was in so i suspect i will be dropping by and helping with the install.
he better have beer this time! This is the 3rd stove in as many years!
I love the big wood. I can get a load bucked and home a lot quicker. 36" is the size id love to get all day long but the bigger ones are just plain fun to do. Cut a cookie, roll up on the trailer you get a ton of splits out of each one.
