    Tri955- Sorry mate, I would be your chainsaw buddy, but to be honest it costs so much to ship to the States from here that it would never be worth your while to buy a saw, then ship it! Also Royal Mail would lose the bloody thing before it left this country!! :dizzy: :monkey:

    Seen a 262xp going cheap(ish!) near where I live, just wondered what you guys think about them? What year was it manufactured from/to, what size bars will it realistically pull and are they easy to work on? Thanks for your help guys!

    Well in that case.... .....0.5mm gasket is already winging its way to mine. I thought the 026 seemed lacking compression when I pulled her over! On the plus side of this story, I now have a lovely rebuilt 026 thats just had a gentle low compression running in, great! :clap: Thanks all...

    Multiple cylinders must add huge weight, 2 cylinders, 2 spark plugs, 2 leads, 2 pistons, why would they ever make these?!?

    Stihl 026/260 Gasket thickness, why two sizes??

    Can anyone tell me why Stihl have two thicknesses of head gasket for the 026/260 in there spares list? Are there different set ups for older/newer machines? I have a feeling I have put the wrong one in my 026! I used a 1mm before I knew they did a 0.5mm version. Thanks for any feedback...
