    385xp vs 390xp for milling

My understanding of this is that Husky did this to support their dealers thathave taken the risks and put the time and effort to build a business. T was told that alot of the online sales were by people that were shipping out of their houses. They don't have the overhead or the employee...

    gutless turd?

I have cut quite a few cottonwood/poplars with both stihl and husky saws. some times they can be as hard a cutting wood as you will find. When making the top cut on your notch some of them seem to expand and pinch the bar . I noticed that when the operator in the video cut the bottom of his...

Husky 350 vs. Stihl 250, do I even start this thread?

Go to your local dealer and save the shipping cost. Stay away from Lowes. If your dealer is any good, he will take care of you if you have any problems. The saws I have priced in the past couple of years were cheaper to buy from my dealer than to pay shipping from a cataloge store. Jeff

    Poor ole Stihl 390?

Has anyone tried modding a 390? I opened up the muffler on the one at work. Made a sizeable difference with the 24" bar. Jeff

Your Opinions about the Stihl QS System?

Hey Glen, You don't really notice the system as far as causing grip problems. At least I haven't. My concern is getting complacent and getting hurt when the mechanism doesn't work. Jeff

Your Opinions about the Stihl QS System?

The daggone thing sticks and doesn't work. If it doesn't pop down when you release it it won't stop the chain. Therefore, I just assume that it isn't going to work and treat the saw the same as I would saw without the QS system. It also adds extra weight to the saw. You might want to take a...

Your Opinions about the Stihl QS System?

My experience with a 270CQS is that you need to keep the palm lever clean for it to work properly. Personally I wouldn't buy the saw with the C or the QS jmho, Jeff

    Hunter does good business!!!

Then on the other hand, I tried to get a price on chain from him. Never heard back from him. And he lives maybe ten miles from where I work.( I think) Because of that he lost a potential customer. We could be replacing 5 or 6 saws in the next year. I guess the Husky dealer in Newark will get our...

    Jonsered 535

Went to the saw shop the other day to pick up some rolls of Carlton chain. On the floor next to the door sat a Jonsered 535. I pick it up and looked at it. The dealer told me that it would almost break your are pulling the cord, but when it started it was a nice running saw. I pulled the cord...
