    What tires should I use?

Well the truck is not quite stock. The rear wheels are safety rims on standard 5 star hubs so I am not too limited there. The truck itself is pretty neat. A good double hump 327 bolted to a five speed ranny with a 2 speed rear end. I will try to get some pics up soon

    What tires should I use?

Hey guys, try not to laugh too hard but right now I am hauling with a 1957 GMC dump and I need tires. If I had to guess it would be in the ton1/2 to 2 ton range. I currently have 9.00-20's but I am more than willing to make some changes. Should I go to radials? What size does that end up...

So why all the "angst" towards the Husky 455?

I just picked up a 455 off of eBay that had been crushed by a tree. I knew that at least the handlebar was busted so I ordered a new one, they both arrived today. I gotta tell you guys the plastic handle made for a quick repair of a major problem. I replaced the handlebar, straightened the...

    Chainsaw Recomendation

    heres a trick

I love the idea of the curved springs cradling the log, it seems like that setup would be very forgiving for "oops" bucket drops and uneven terrain

    Chainsaw Recomendation

One of my favorite saws ever is my Husky 141 with 16" bar, a genuine $200 Lowes special. Mine was made in Sweden and I hear that the new ones may not be which would be a major drawback. The narrow bar and a sharp chain have kept this saw in top form for several years. Of course it is hard to...

Indoor wood furnace vs. Outdoor Boiler - The differences?

The OWB stoves are great. Set the temp wherever you like, plenty of hot water for long showers and no mess inside the house. The drawback is the ones around here burn a lot of wood. You hear people say they only burn 3 sticks in the morning and three at night, they fail to mention that those...
