ya i have been thinking about how to finish painting it..defenitly it needs something else on it besides black...i was thinking about painting some of it stihl orange...

i wouldnt pay no more than 5 or 10 bucks a cord..... it sounds like to me you are doing him a favor....

thanks guys i tell you what i have been planning this for years ...if you have a lawn mower motor laying around it was so easy to make it all work...when i took the mower apart i cut out the piece of metal the motor was mounted to so i didnt have to try drilling the holes exact and re welded it...

i agree i have an idea for a shelf that i can take on and off that way when i have help splitting i can take it off and out of the way..but when your by yourself they sure are handy....i like your idea i might have to copy it...

no i put a lot of thought into this splitter...before i used a 22ton brave...nothing bad to say about a brave i think they make great stuff but..all the splitters that are that style are to short for me so i wanted it a little taller ...thanks glad you like it...

well most of the time i dont take it and use the trailer but when its to wet and i just need to load the truck i wanted a place for all that stuff besides the backseats

yes the motor is a 15 horse. it came off a dr mower slash brush hog the decks went bad so i took it off and used it for my splitter..i put a 22 gpm pump to it and a 4.5 in cylinder and a prince valve and i will say its as fast as you will ever want a splitter....you really have to watch you...

no so much i had to do something the wife was getting tired of smelling gas when she got in the truck..plus with two car seats in the back it was a pain to get three saws and all that stuff in the back seat

ya thats pretty much all its split so far...its had about 25 cords ran through it so far....with no major problems...knock on wood...the cylinder,pump,valve,lines and fittings were all bran new when i built it..

i put my saw tool box,saw gas and oil,and 5 gal gas jug for the splitter...i wanted it big enough to put all that stuff in.when i load the back of the truck full i got tired of putting all that stuff in the back seats

yes its welded to the frame horizontal only if the chunks are real big they get split with a maul

yes the guys at splitez told me that swisher does make a pump that is made to be belt driven he said they are counter clockwise pumps...he said the pumps he sales and the barnes are not intended for a belt pulley...they wont take the side pressure...i bought a 22 gpm pump from them and am...

i dont feel sorry for them every customer i have and pick up each year i tell them up front dont call when you run out.. give me a week or two cause if it gets nasty and muddy i cant get it out....and it never fails they call and say i have 4 sticks and want it the next day...and if i have it...
