    Pioneer chainsaws

Here's a picture of my P65. They seem to be the rarest of the 6 cubes. My understanding is they just started producing these just before the buy out, then rebranding them the 655BP's.

    Pioneer chainsaws

Bore us? This is the info I live for. Thank You for your info. Over 10 years ago I acquired a couple P50's. Those saws are what brought me to this site. Now I have over 20 of the 5 and 6 cube P series. I could not agree more with the power the SDC 80 makes on the 6 cubes. My go to large saw is a...

    Pioneer chainsaws

That is a good question. I have never seen the 52 bp piston. I also have a 52 bp cylinder. I don't remember what it came off of. Possibly a PP525 or a Target concrete saw. Whatever it was, i believe the piston was standard.

    Timing on a MS291

Yes. I've seen coils do all kind of crazy stuff. Last week I worked on a K760 that would pop and backfire on start up. Once it started it was sluggish than smooth out. Wouldn't idle. New coil and it was perfect. Uncommon but it happens. 3 weeks ago a Shindaiwa hedge trimmer that was sluggish and...

    MS 201 TCM Any Good?

The MS 201TCM is a great saw. Most of the previous fuel solenoid issues are long gone. I live in Illinois, so i don't know about how they work in the Texas heat. In my opinion the 200T was and will always be the best top handle ever made. Id message Lone Wolf to see if he has a used one for sale...

    Stihl 026 not idling well

Keep in mind, there are many variations of the 026/MS260. Even with the fuel line, there is a large and small grommet fuel lines. Be patient and post pics before buying anything. One of my favorite saws. I see you got the attention of Jerry aka Pioneerguy600. Hes probably forgot more than I'll...

    Stihl 026 not idling well

When you get the saw on your possession, pull the muffler and check the piston for scoring. Then check the fuel line line. Based on those 2 things, anything after that, we can walk you through it. In my experience, the 026's with the Wt194 carbs are the strongest runners stock.

    Should I stock a 661 cm ?

Yes. Stihl sent an email to my shop today with no estimated time for new saws. Huge backorder.

    MS200T tank vent

I've seen the brake bone break a couple times. It's definitely not a common issue, but have seen it before.

Thank you! I hope to be a regular again. Been busy taking care of elderly parents. It's great to see people from 10+ years ago still posting.

Just an fyi... the partner 5000 is an incredible saw. The power to weight ratio is one of the best ever still to this day.

The impulse grommet/tube is a common issue on these. You have to remove the plastic intake to check. Inspect the rubber intake band also. I usually use a little dirko to seal the band. Both are available through husq.

    What in the worls

I seen that several times. Not a big deal. Do not try to build it up, pointless. It will run perfectly fine.

Stihl MS171 - Will only start with carb cleaner then stops

Put a new carb and fuel filter on it. These carbs are very inexpensive.
