What to do with big pines?

    Firewood.
  3. BarkBuster20

Does any one pour used motor oil on there stacked firewood?

that would just make a huge mess, most people dont like getting pitch on there hands, who would want oil all over there hands/gloves, and all over there wheelbarrow and all inside there woodbox in the house. just stupid.

    STIHL ms361 firewood maker

If you wanna make it run with a 70cc saw, with bigger bars, your going to have to get the oiler pumping harder, or else your always going to be limited in how long of a bar you can run. May not have a big enough oil tank anyway.

    066 with 9T rim sprocket?

around here most people would never put anything that short on a 90cc saw. few firewood cutters run 25 on 460s

    066 with 9T rim sprocket?

sounds like a POS 880, should pull that no problem.
  10. BarkBuster20

    066 with 9T rim sprocket?

alder and fir- mostly what we have around here.

    066 with 9T rim sprocket?

    a 70cc saw will pull an 8t with a 25 inch b&c, why wouldnt a 90cc saw pull the 9t? i mean a 660 will pull a 42 inch bar .404.

A word about splitting large firewood rounds by hand

idk, fiskars are pretty great, can easily take many duties that were once reserved for the maul. sometimes you just need a wedge and maul though. unless it needs to be wedged ill stick with fiskars.

    550XP vs MS362

It might be a little better comparison if both saws had the same size b/c. i think the results would be different as well.
  14. BarkBuster20

    066 with 9T rim sprocket?

with a 25 inch bar, go ahead and try the 9t i bet its not that bad.

    Porting 441 CM flooding?

I believe you have to tune it in the cut, or you could damage your saw. Maybe im wrong.

    Echo saws kinda lame

The only echo i have ran is a cs-4600, a 50cc saw, and compared to my 026 its not so far behind i would call it a bad saw. its cut well over 100 cord and still runs well. It is a little heavier then my 026, and has slightly less power, if i had to replace my 026 with it, it wouldnt be the end of...
