    water to water heat exchanger

I would use a tempering valve especially if you have small children. 135-140 water can cause severe burns in seconds.

Changing the splitter engine to synthetic made the difference

Haven't changed to synthetic oil yet but considering it for wood splitter, and generator. I have heard once you change to synthetic you should never change back to regular oil. Don't know if that is true. Next time I change fluid in wood splitter will use Dextron III.

    Central Boiler vs Nature's Comfort

I am heating 3600 sq ft when I heat my basement. Only heat basement to 65-70. I insulated bottom of my stove with 2" rigid foam insulation and closed in with metal siding. Also like fishhead I raised my owb on concrete pad. I used 4" cap blocks. Makes it easier to load (personal opinion)Like...

    Central Boiler vs Nature's Comfort

I have had a NCB-175 for a year. Works fine for me. I went with it instead of CB because of price difference. I personally think CB's are the Cadillac of OWB. Friend of mine has CB, really likes it. I have burned approx 6 cord 4x4x8 so far this year. Every which one you choose be sure it is...

Thanks for the idea of checking with new chain. Checked last night and marked on base, will try using those set points on a few chains see if angle stays same. Oregon 511Ax Problem

Recently purchased 511ax. Having trouble getting cutters sharpened on same angle. When set at zero angle vise is crooked. Not square with frame. Came that way from factory. Don't have one to compare mine to. No store sells them locally. If you set vise on 0 angle, right side is closer to frame...

    question for 511ax users ? ? ?

Just ran across your tread. I have had a 511AX for a few months. Not used it to much but have found out if you are not careful on set up you will cut one side shorter than the other. When switching from side to side if you don't make sure you lock chain with same pressure against stop you...
