I put the DP cover on mine. I think it cost me a little over $40 at my local dealer. I honestly can't tell a difference in power, but it definitely changed, and I think improved, the sound.
I don't think they make rsc in low profile 3/8. I'm thinking you have to swap sprockets to run the rsc on the 192.
I run Stihl 63PM on my 200T and I love it. For the bigger saws I would recommend Stihl RS or RSC. However, if you want to save a few bucks you could try the woodlandpro 30RC...
Like the others, on my bigger saws if I'm not cutting stumps as low as possible I use 3/4 or full wrap. I can certainly do the work with a halfwrap/flush-cut handlebar, but I find the maneuverability of the saw to be much better with the 3/4 or full wrap.
Yeah its from Stihl. You can see it on this page where it is listed as "Steel Brush Knife":

It is easily sharpened, but I can't tell you how much they cost. I had the dealer throw mine in for free when I bought the trimmer. If you decide to...
Congrats. My FS 250R is the best trimmer I've ever owned. Actually its the best trimmer I've ever even tried. Plenty of power, reliable, and not as heavy as one would think. You're going to love it.
I use .095 line on mine with the autocut head when using it around the house. On the farm...
I have to agree with some of the previous posters. If you are truly looking at getting one saw only then based on what you are describing I have to say that a 60cc saw would serve your needs. If you think there is any chance whatsoever that you may develop CAD, then work towards getting the...
The 036 Pro would be a great saw for you based on your description. Its a nice step up from the 455 rancher. The 036/360 handles a 20" bar well and is known to be reliable.
I don't have experience with anything that big nor with prices out that way. My wild guess is 10 grand. It looks like a heck of a job you've got if you end up with the winning bid.
Gladly. Its about time you provided this, I searched, but couldn't find it. I think its a misprint considering the quantity of contradicting information I've found, but it is a source none the less.
Eureka! That must be where the 1450 comes from.
Isn't it great when someone calls you out for not looking closely enough at something when, in fact, they didn't look at it closely enough themselves in the first place. I wonder how crow tastes?
