    572 has sealed bearings?

Good!!!!!! I apologize for misinterpreting your post. That's definitely good news. A true relief. I was so heartbroken, and just couldn't believe it. I really hope that you're right. Exploded views are not exactly realistic in terms of maintenance. I'm reminiscent of the 390 having the same...

    572 has sealed bearings?

Yup... Easy fix. Just completely disassemble the entire saw down to a bare crankcase... Then split your case, install the "regular" sealed bearing... And you're good to go. It's only a 6 hours fix. Because that separate seal type of crank bearing setup, that takes minutes... and has been...

    572 has sealed bearings?

Ummmmm.... I believe it won't run.... Or, if it does, it'll eat itself apart in short order.

    572 has sealed bearings?

Unfortunately, you are correct. All manufacturers seem to be making lemons by the bushel these days. My 550 mk2 is a basket case with severe idling issues. Brother in-law has a 362c that's rattles worse than an old Mac. 572 with loose cylinder bolts from the dealership. A host of 562 with...

    572 has sealed bearings?

Yup, I absolutely agree with that. I've heard that the 572 bottom end is overbuilt.... which is definitely a good thing. Just sucks for the longevity, imo. When a seal fails... not if... when... then what? Full tear down and split cases? I don't know.. husky seems to be making strange...

    572 has sealed bearings?

It could be. I didn't look at it much, especially not the data plate. We dropped it off on the way to the shop. The one I ran (of four) was fine. It feels bulky compared to the 462c, but smooth and powerful.... Different powerband than the 372, but not lacking. Great saw.

    572 has sealed bearings?

Spent 16 days up North working with Maltby's tree service. It's a Husqvarna operation, or was.. lol. They've had a 572xp that just never ran right. Come to find out that the clutch side crank seal was leaking. Warrantied and estimated 3 weeks to fix!!! Does Husqvarna use sealed bearings in...

    A ranty on new husky

That's a bit much, my friend. Take a breath. I don't disagree with you....but holy moose poo!

Well what about when there are no more dealers because the manufacturer, in their infinite wisdom, pulled all of the franchise licenses? And I absolutely agree with your issues and frustrations. However, what is stopping you from obtaining either an IPL or parts availability in MA? Burderelli...

    A ranty on new husky

Saw was bought by me, in person in MA, last November, where my father currently lives. I am in NC now and there isn't any dealer support here aside from one, which told me that the saw is fine.... which it certainly is not. I am going back up there for Christmas, and will bring the saw with me...

    A ranty on new husky

Yeah, I'm whining. I'll accept that. And in my opinion, for good reason. I wouldn't sell this saw for anything. It's extremely sentimental, as I'm sure you've realized by my previous threads. I'm not trying to poo on husky. But they pooped on me. Customer service number was absolutely...

    A ranty on new husky

I absolutely appreciate that. And the 365s is a phenomenal saw! I have a Jonsered 2065 and I honestly prefer it over the 2171 (372xp). It just has a longer power curve...or something. I actually bought a back up a OEM top end for it years ago...just in case. Unfortunately the oil tank is...

    A ranty on new husky

Again.... I'm not denying nor suggesting against the absolute fact.. that husky makes good saws. But the amount of issues.... undeniable issues...far outweigh the competition. How many bearings have failed? How many seals are leaking from the factory? Why do they sell so many short block...

I completely agree with that assessment. However, the M-Tronic system can be recalibrated in any location, simply, and in any environment. Do a muffler mod, no problem. Port it, no problem.... Meanwhile.... the auto tune needs a 30+ second cut ..... What an awesome idea, because that's...

The 346xp is, in my opinion, the best 50cc ever made. Though it has a real problem staying upright on anything but the most level ground. Lol.

It was for my father. He's been a lifelong Jonsered guy, yet because of his age I wanted to get him something light. He'd be familiar with the controls and general operating procedures. Plus, I always thought the MS261 was a little bloated for a 50cc. He suffered a debilitating stroke and...

    A ranty on new husky

I know, and they've had their share of scrutiny. My main issue is that the seals go inside the bearing on the new huskies....not in the case.

    A ranty on new husky

I absolutely agree! While I've never run a 200 series, I absolutely bow down to the early 300 series. Hence I own and treasure two red versions. So easy to work on, noticeable gains from simple mods, tough and reliable. I should have bought a used 2153. Hindsight 20/20. I know the...

    A ranty on new husky

Yes. That's how I do it. It does what it's supposed to and will run awesome for a bit, then start loading up again. I really want to like this saw, and if it was running properly I'd prefer it over the MS261c for how nimble it feels. I guess I just got a lemon.
