100LL AV Gas, adjust carb necessary?

Looks like one of my old threads is back from the dead.... I experimented with the 100LL AV fuel for a while with my 455 rancher. Unfortunately It didn't seem to perform all that well even after retuning the carb. I have now found a gas station on the way to the lake of the ozarks that...

I Need some 16" .325 chain recommendations for my new 346xp

Finally received my 346xp after a couple of months of waiting. I plan on doing a little bit of cutting in a couple of weeks and would like to order a few spare chains. Can anybody recommend me some good semi-chisel and full-chisel chains? I have the 16" bar that came on the saw currently. It...

    New Husky 346xp-ne Came in!!!

How long ago did you order it (1 week you say?) Looks like its the non e-tech version from the pics. My dealer just ordered one for me last week and I am now anxiously awaiting it hoping its not the e-tech version. Was gonna order a few months ago but put it off to see if they would start...

    Jonsered vs. Husqvarna?

Well I asked my dealer about the Jonsereds. He said he could probably get them if I really wanted, but he does not stock them and prefers to sell the Husqvarnas around here since they are a little better known by most folks. Brand recognition I guess. Around here when you mention chainsaws...

    Storing chainsaw files

Have you thought about buying a box to keep your common tools you need out in the field in? I bought a plano marine dry storage box to keep extra chains, screnches and some other small tools for my chainsaws. On the top of this particular box is a compartment that is perfect for files and this...

no spill cans, I don't get it

How did you go about getting a replacement spout for your vented Blitz gas cans? I really need to replace mine with something a little better but seeing as how everything is now a ventless type spout I am coming up short finding replacement spouts.

    Jonsered vs. Husqvarna?

Thanks guys.... I have a husqvarna dealer local, but no jonsered dealer anywhere near so I will stick with husqvarna seeing as how they are pretty much the same thing. I always wandered if it was similar to the Chevy GMC thing, with one being just a little different and perhaps just a little...

    Jonsered vs. Husqvarna?

Can anyone tell me the differences between the current generation Jonsered and Husqvarna chainsaws? Is one line considered a little better than the other? Does one tend to have different characteristics than the other? I realize that they are owned by the same company but am curious if there...

no spill cans, I don't get it

I absolutely hate these no-spill cans. Don't work for me at all. I spill more gas then would ever fume out. I have some old blitz brand plastic 5 gallon cans that have the old crappy nozzle that you have to pull out each time to use and even they are better than these new carb compliant...

    Tool Forum

Any of you guys here use a makita angle grinder? I am considering buying the kit that baileys has for sale. Comes in a case with an assortment of grinder wheels also. Price seems pretty good too. I can't find it on their website, but its in the master catalog. I have used metabo grinders in...

    something old, something new

If possible could you pm me where you bought the non-cat muffler from and how much they cost? I am looking for a reasonably priced one for my 346xp. I would go by the part numbers for the 346xp but I am unsure how to guarantee I get a NON-CAT version.

Are all 345xp's now the E-Tech version?

Thanks guys... sounds like it will most likely be a cat version then since my dealer had to order it from his distributor. Wish I didn't have to pony up the money for the non-cat muffler but that's life I suppose. Anybody have a good source for a reasonable priced OEM non-cat 345xp muffler...

Are all 345xp's now the E-Tech version?

After doing a search on the 346xp here and reading through about 50-100 threads on it, I have read that there have been recent shipments (after the first of the year) of 346xp's that are NOT the E-tech version. So..... with that being said... anybody here order or purchase a 346xp recently that...

Swapping unlimited ignition coil from 455 Rancher to 346xp?

Well I'm not sure if they are identical because the 346xp isnt here yet, so I am kinda guessing at this point. I do know that the 455 rancher coil is black. I checked out my 1 year old 372xp and it has the blue coil. I figured since the 455 Rancher would never need the unlimited coil it would...

Swapping unlimited ignition coil from 455 Rancher to 346xp?

I'm awaiting a 346xp that I ordered from my dealer and am under the impression that all of them now have the limited coil. I have a 455 Rancher that will probably get moved to the back of the shelf once the 346xp gets here and it has the black ignition coil (unlimited I assume) part #544 04...

What bar/chain combo do you use on your 346xp?

Well I did it... I dropped by the dealer today and ordered it with the 16" bar. If I had longer than a 20" bar on the 372xp then I would have went with the 18" My dealer said he sells more of them in the 16" then any other size. He said I'm not the first one who has purchased the 372xp and...
