Windfall Whips and Widowmakers, the Hazard's of Working in the Woods.

See, I have never heard that one called anything. Must be a regional difference!

"Fence Posting" is a new one on me. I know that as a snap cut.

    Remington Super 660

An odd one with the oiler and a starter both on the clutch cover, but a second (probably later) starter on the flywheel side. No bottom handle under the pistol grip. That there is a Bantam frankensaw of some sort. The homemade hand guard is a nice frankensteiny touch.

2023 PNW GTG is a Go!

It's not an actual town name, it's just the "local" name for the party place itself!

How long do you actually run a saw in a day

440 is by far my favorite obsolete saw. More hours on that model than any three others. Never had any issues with the A/V even on long days on the fireline.

Where's WYK been, and what trouble is he making?

All US cities are a mess and I don't know what it's going to take to see this fentanyl crisis in the rear view.

    Shopping for new helmet

Skull Bucket is in TX now. Owner brought the whole works to the US over the last few years. Solid product. I 100% recommend.

    Humboldt vs. Conventional

Bjarne Butler knows what's up. I know of an 80" multi-top burnt-ass snag close to 200' tall in a common gathering place which is far too rotten to cut (or I would have long ago) that the landowner won't commit to falling via explosives. I did get them to move a row of a dozen or so...

    Council Axes?

I sure wish I had one of those. Alas, five hundy for any axe is too rich for my blood.

Where's WYK been, and what trouble is he making?

Memory serves, it does a number on fats and proteins. Definitely worth a bit of caution.

NaOH cleans aluminum transfer and also ports exhaust: noted for future use. Good work yo!

That sounds just bonkers -- the inconsistency would drive me up the wall. A simple "no freakin way" I could work with more easily, I think.

Can confirm. Either Bill or Tyler had one at the last Napa GTG, that thing rips.

Dang yo, I've only recently become a fan of Echo. I recently picked up a built 620PW and it absolutely screams. It's the only 60cc pro saw I'm aware of in the states that still has old school carburetion and it's about 40% cheaper than the uh other guys. I think between the new machine, parts...

Are Echos uncommon in EU? It occurs to me that I've never thought about that.
