Looking for all the ol' MS361 Owners Out There

I'm an OG 361 owner. I ported mine and it ended up really rowdy. I sold it recently, but I ran it with a 12" bar and a 9 pin and it was so much fun. The porting was just widening everying as much as possible but stock timing. The upper transfers were insanely wide and the bottoms were hogged out...

    2IL Peavey

Run a long bolt through the end and sharpen a point on it. Replaceable until the aluminum cracks......and it will crack.

    2IL Peavey

Aluminum ain't the way to go. If you insist, at least use steel for the end spike. That little Aluminum spike is gonna be mashed flat in a day.

    Brazillian Husky 272xp

I was trying to figure out how to give a Husky a Brazilian when I read this thread title. Glad to see it's just a smuggling thread, not a saw grooming thread. Because I know some of you guys like your saws all cleaned up like that but I think it's nasty. You can't just clear cut all that old...

    200T Carbitooter Thread **Official**

I've been trying to do one for a couple days now. Fricken thing has me stumped. Can't get the throttle shaft out to save my life. It's like that shaft is swaged in. I put an 020T spare on but I need that carb for a build. Might have to try a WT215 for this saw.

    Remember the Good Ole Days?

I've only helped do it the cut, scoop, crimp, spray method as well. And by help, I mean hold the leg rope and work the head gate. My buddy swore it was less chance of infection than bands. I tried feeding some nuts to our two Dobermans one year. They would play with them but too tough to chew...

    Remember the Good Ole Days?

Hey Brad, remember the good ole days when 361's were awesome and you used to port everything with ridonkulous wide upper transfers? Well, I copied your porting on my 361 those many moons ago. I just tried to make my cylinder look like your pictures. And it worked dandy. The saw still runs like a...

    Remember the Good Ole Days?

The quality of information is orders of magnitude better than what it was. Detailed pictures and instructions on porting work etc. That didn't happen before. It was all secret voodoo sauce old boys club inside joke figure it out for yourself BS. There were huge egos that thought porting saws was...

Field First aid kit - what do you carry?

First aid stats are really depressing. They teach CPR, but the stats on resuscitating someone whose heart has stopped are not very good. I think major wounds are probably the same in that if you cut the wrong artery it just don't matter what you do if you are far from help. I know with what...

    How should I f%@k up my 200T's?

All of my top handle saws are used on the ground exclusively. If you have an opinion about that, please write a letter to your congressman explaining how you feel. Don't tell me about it. I'm old and broken and light little saws are the only way I'm gonna stay in this game. So, really, please...

    How should I f%@k up my 200T's?

No lathe. Don't nobody tell me it needs machining. Not happening. Here's a question Lone Wolf, how do you decide if 020/200T crank and bearings are good? They wiggle. How much is ok? They feel 'good'. But I have a few other cranks that also feel fine too. So maybe they are all bad or all ok...

    How should I f%@k up my 200T's?

So.... ALL my other saws have always been ported and modded. By me. Never felt the need to mess with the 200T's because they act like a ported saw out of the box, and because I always had bigger saws ready to go. Now I want to mess with them. What to do....???? Might widen the exhaust a tiny...

    Devcon user help!!!!!

Slow hardening epoxies are stronger than ones with a faster catalyst. More resin. You can force it to cure quicker with heat. Gentle heat. Like put it inside a car on a hot day. If it is gummy when you grind it then it's either not fully cured or your tool is just smearing it and not cutting...

    Reusing piston circlips

yup. Me too. Prefer is the key word, because they are still circlips and are stupid. All saws should have snap rings. They'd be more secure and easier to get in and out with the right pliers. There is no 'right tool' for circlips. I use those clamping forcep hemostat things and I end up fudging...

    Reusing piston circlips

I have in the past, when the old oem looks better than what comes in a piston kit. Depends if ya mangled em taking them out though. Also depends on whether the oem is a perfect fit in the new piston on not. Check it out first, but I'd say go for it

    Hows the 441 handle a 28-32"

On the west coast 70cc saws can all run 36"(but ONLY when it's raining). On the east coast they can't handle more than 20". In Australia yer lucky if that saw will pull a 16" without stalling. Pick any size in between if you live in between those locations.
