Guy has an Makita 6400 that needs a clutch cover and recoil cover wants 75.00 for it. Says it has had about 10 tanks of fuel through it. Worth fooling with? I have no Makita/Dolmar dealers close but sure would like to have one. Thanks

I have an 024 taken down to clean up and I noticed it has only one ring on the piston. Did Stihl make them this way? The serial number starts with 1 so it should be a German made.:dizzy:

Picked up an 141 that is need of some parts, no dealer within 45 miles but some used parts are fine.

Stopped by the local Stihl dealer today to get some seals for the 290, $15.20 each! They are proud of their seals!

Screw must have came out and got wedged. Would you use this cylinder or replace it?

Just finished putting a new piston and rings in the saw, checked compression before I ran it and it checked 135 psi, would you consider this low or will it go up once the rings are seated? Also was checking the number on the carburetor and it shows for an 034 will this run the saw to lean?
