you'll be hard pressed to find anyone who has owned a 44/440 that doesn't think they're one of the best saws ever made. Lighter (do a search, I think someone did an actual weigh in on all the common Stihl pro saws ) and narrower than a 460. handles much better. If you can only have one saw...

curiosity got the better of me...pulled the muffler cover... Piston n cyl look like the rest of the saw....it's still set up rich for break in but hasn't started to carbon up the screen yet.

I would think over 1k as well .... If you offered me a new, current 660 and this for the same price, I'd take the flat top in a heart beat... these ran really strong right out of the box. (good ignition, good port timing on the non decomp 066's, a muffler that breathes pretty good, and a carb...

funny Yeah... I've been looking for a while as well...I really didn't realize how original everything was on it until I got it home. Not sure if I'll run it or sell it off to someone who wants it for a shelf queen.

this thing looks completely original down to the early pleated HD filter and blue foam pre wrap.... Paid to much but it was to pretty to leave behind. Was planning on molesting it with a die grinder when I got home...having second thoughts now.
