i never stated that maxima was the best oil, it is just what i prefer and i never had any problem with it even in a air cooled engine, i also run it in my restored aircooled 1982 yamaha YZ 490 motocross bike. you people act like if you use it in a air cooled engine it will hurt it which is not...

no name junk? lol maxima oil products have been around for many years and is one of the top oil's used in motocross bikes. and it's not the same as your echo synthetic. it's like comparing a echo saw to a stihl or a husky,lol. theres no comparison in reliabilyity or performance.

just my opinion, maxima cost 3 times as much as the factory oil and it does perform better, been using it for over 15 years with no problems

i use maxima castor 927 full synthetic in all my stihls and also run it in my motocross bikes. to me me buying such factory oils such as stihl,echo,etc.. is all junk and your just paying for the name

:) i found the deal of a life tifetime, i just picked up a stihl 064 and a 038 for a $100! in our local traders guide paper. the 064 is complete but needs a top end and the 038 runs! he also has a 026 and a 029 for $100 too. not to often you find deals like that

how does the olmpyk 264f chainsaw perform? are they comparable to husky and stihl saws of the era? all i know about the 264f is that it's made in italy and is 61cc's. thanks

i agree, put it on ebay. there is always someone out there looking for vintage saws. to me that ole pioneer would make a great boat anchor.

i just picked up an ole homelite 5-20 boat anchor for free and have no use for itas i'm not into those old relics. it is complete with a bar and chain. not locked up either. just cover shipping and it's yours.

i agree with you al, i wasn't knocking the ole mac 610, mine served me well to but they just don't compare to the newer euoropean saws :)
