I have a Lombard AP 42 that I run with a 20 inch Homelite bar off of a 330. My experience has been that several Homelite parts can be switched over.

I've got a Craftsman 2.3 that had some wierd chain sharpening device built into the clutch cover. Probably had to run some special kind of chain or something. I took it off and put a Super 25DA cover on instead. Alot less bulky, but red saw with lime green clutch cover. Won't win any beauty...

Anything with "Revs to high RPMs, then dies" usually means air leak. Possible pinhole in fuel line? Maybe tiny crack in crank case? I have a 30+ year old 015AV. A little cold blodded, but good little saw. (13 inch bar)

Love my Stihl BR-550. Plenty of power, starts VERY easily, quiet at idle. I did have to replace the coil, however.

Coils do weird things like that, too. Always give a sniff with starting fluid to rule out a no-spark situation.
