I have a vintage 1986 Shindaiwa B45 and a few years ago it would do the same thing when elevated. Since then I have been using Mobil 2 xt synthetc oil in my mix,32:1 and it seems to have cleared up. I can only atribute the change of oil to the improvement.

Was in HomeDepot yesterday and saw an ECHO CS600P on clearance for $369.00. A lot lighter than my Makita DCS6401. Hard to pass up but money doesn't grow on trees. I'll watch and see if it comes down more then maybe.

Dolmar PS-401 Dolmar PS-401...light and seems to cut almost as well as many larger models. I haven't even broken mine in but after a few tanks of fuel it seems real strong and torquey...even in large wood.

On the Oregon chain selector feature it displays 3/8 " chain for this model but only .325 sprockets...very confusing. No 16" or 18" bars but it does show 20" 22" & 24" bars.

Arriving Soon Kevin, at the local TS store located one for me in North Carolina. He said it will be here in a few days. Now to the bar and chain...probably should go with an 18" bar but should I keep it 3/8 or go .325? I've never used .325 only 3/8 & LP3/8. What do you fellas think?

Resister Plugs They call for resistor plugs on newer equipment because a non-resistor plug may interfere with electronic ignitions...also they mess with your AM radio reception!

Shindaiwa Very Good I've been operating a Shindaiwa B=45 brush cutter for 23 years now. Only had to replace air & fuel filters. Runs as strong today as in 1986. Great quality. ECHO & Shindaiwa are now both owned by the same firm. I hope they don't screw up the lines.
