    Old School

Seems efficient enough to me. thanks for the old school lesson. the bed looks QUITE rugged too. do you build them yourself or have someone else do it for you?

    I sent you a PM.

    Poulan 2 man saw

well, you have what is known as a machine from the school of OLD. keep it, and love it. I'm guessing build date was somewhere in the 40's or 50s.

Big trucks take big gulps of fuel

Depending on the particular truck, I'd say that the 366 gasser is going to cost an arm, leg and both kidneys to keep gas in it. plus extended idle times kill gas motors. diesel ALL the way. granted in a 30k pound vehicle you probably wont see more than at the very best around 12mpg, its better...

    440 parts

on a 440, an HL series carburetor would be right to use.

    Should I buy this 026?

just check the rubber lines to make sure they're still flexible and not cracking from sitting around. save yourself some trouble ahead of time and make sure the rubber doesnt leak air. that could make a great deal into an INSANE headache that costs as much as a brand new MS260.

    440 parts

the problem is that your carb is a Mac designed unit, unlike the ones from Tillotson that were put on similar saws of that era.

    Flat forehead, another installment

Just buy a winch and 4x4 truck and be done with it. save yourself plenty of time. had you used a truck with dual rear wheels, you could have used the cable in the wheels, as a winch of sorts.

    lets see them motorcycles

That bike looks like something crazy. frontend really reminds me of a Buell XB12 with those headlights. cant wait to turn my 500 into a stuntbike though, then I plan on a CBR600 or an R6 to use for street use.

    Advice on Stihl MS361

For that price, with warranty, grab it before someone else does.

    FS: Jonsered 670 Champ

Anyone? come on, someone has to want this saw. it runs very well, cuts excellant. I'll include the Red Jonsered clutch cover and the Husky 266 one that has a chainbrake for nothing at all.

    Mac 250

I've got a 34" bar on mine, used it ripping through a stump once, it handled that like it was cardboard. potent and powerful. but its only got a 6k rpm top end, so dont expect it to be fast like a 346XP or something.

Yes, I got a cylinder kit from a 268 for it though to experiment with a little, but never reallly got into the project.

    Old Mac

Looks to me like a MAC 15

    FS: Jonsered 670 Champ

Yes, it runs, and I'll get you pictures shortly. I also have two separate clutch covers for it. one thats a Jonsered cover with no brake in it, and the other is a Husqvarna cover with a brake in it.

    FS: Jonsered 670 Champ

Saw has a brand new 20" bar, sharp chisel chain, new 8T rim on it, new piston in it, with a new cylinder that I never installed because I didnt have the right carb and intake manifold. I'd love to keep it, but I just cant justify having it if it merely sits there on the shelf never being...

is there torque in a new saw?

I got me one of them too. they're LOUD saws, but really cool machines none the less. mine is a blue one too, dont care for the manual oiler, but who cares? built like a freight train it is.

Husqvarna 257 upgrade (is it possible???)

well, if you got another 257 topend, you could always send the saw out to get some mods done to it, and get more that way.
