Anybody here run this chain yet at trade shows? It's extremely smooth and faster over 90 and 91 series chain from Oregon. Did I say it's smooth?[emoji16]

If it was built in 2016 or after... In 2016 they streamlined that series. The PS-510/DCS5121 aluminum cases switched to the PS-5105/EA5000P magnesium cases. So those saws were identical except it still had the open port cylinder, & spur sprocket.

The 181-143-212 coil you ordered fits the PS-5105 Easy Start and the Makita EA5000P. This will not work in your saw. Timing difference and the plug wire will be shorter. You need the 181-143-205 or 181-143-206 part number coil. 181-143-206 supersedes the 181-143-205 ignition coil. This coil is...

My guess was that its fake before I read the reply's. Then I noticed this.

Put in a new NGK 6703 (BPMR7A Solid) in the saw just to eliminate that. Other issues we've seen: Clutch side crank seal A few faulty coils Flooding carbs Also check your fuel tank vent. I think you have a couple things going on at the same time.

My price figures I already have six of these saws around. Two of them never had fuel in the tank. Things I noticed are: Muffler / Muffler studs Bar Studs Broken rear hand guard Outer spike bar Uneven paint wear in spots

$400 saw Just looked at the pictures again. I'd hesitate to go that much.

13,100 A couple tweaks to this saw and it's a nice runner for what it is.

Makita EA3601FR with a little muffler mod. The 2nd and 3rd cut I'm really pushing on it hard.
