    First time using the X27

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago for $30 on clarence at TSC. It felt like I was swinging it in slow motion compared to the X25. Felt a little heavier, but once I got into the swing of things :msp_rolleyes: it took less effort. I will say it definitely lets you know when you need to back...

    john deere gator

The 850i is also designed to compete with the Can-Am machines. I use the 825i on a regular basis at work. Yeah, it's a fine machine. The only cons I have are the lack of shock damping in the rear, and the Ranger Crew Cab is faster on the top end. I'm sure with a little tuning, and more coin...

    john deere gator

Go on and getcha one of the new 850's! I was at the local Deere John/Stihl dealer getting a new chain and I had my 7 year old with me. She was browsing the obnoxiously overpriced toy section that happened to have one of the new 850 on display. I'm talking to the parts guy when I hear her say...

    Good deeds with firewood

I've had a few customers buy for relatives that are older or in poor health and I'll deliver quite a bit more than was purchased. Figured if the buyer was willing to help, I'd try and do my part too. Steve

    Odd tips from the garage

If you've gotta rebuild wheel hubs on a trailer, try putting the outer races and seals in the freezer for a little while. Makes installing them much easier. (translation: no hammering) When, not if, you strip the head of a phillips screw head, spit on the tip of your screwdriver, stick it...

    No good deed goes unpunished.......

Sounds like you should have spent another $3.50 and doused him with a gallon. Then start checking your pockets sayin' "where's my damn lighter?"

    Items to consider carrying

A while back I was in the middle of cutting firewood when the e-ring and washer decided to come off. Luckily I had a spare of each so I could continue cutting. I've been carrying a retractable magnet with me since then, in case something like that happened again. It might make finding...

How to tell if wood has too much rot

I can't say for sure about felled timber. Depends on who's burnin' it I reckon. As for standing dead timber, if it "shatters" when it hits the ground it ain't no good.
