Terrible deal, will take a lot of work you don't have time for, but I'm retired and could work it into my schedule. I'll even pay shipping! Send 'er on!

    1970 F350 advice

I don't see how you'll get much money back out of it. You don't seem to be thinking of a lot of bisiness. Registration and insurance will be several hundred bucks a year and it's a gas hog! 30 miles, each way=6 gallons of fuel, if it's running well, which is nearly $20 now and will be a lot...

    Questions about ms 290

It's a good, reliable saw and worth a bar and chain. Who knows, you may be able to go back to the original chain later, when you get everything else right. It's never worth suffering with a poor setup! You'll wear the engine and yourself and you'll be more likely to get hurt. Buy some chaps.

Stihl & Husky answers where they're made

I wouldn't expect the average dealer to kinow, or care, where the stuff is made.

New Chainsaw Chaps - Cut Test

I think you should offer to sell that to the company! It's worth several new pair of chaps, at least!!

    New Chainsaw Purchaser

Well, I'm a DIY firewood type, but only 4 cord/yr or so. Still, we have land and I help others. I've owned a little of everything, but my 029 is by far the most reliable and easiest to deal with saw. I got it in excellent shape, used, for $150. You gotta watch Craigslist, bulletin boards...

    Homelite Trimmer Issues

You never know with this stuff. I have one of the little Homie trimmers, bought for $10 at a yard sale 5-6 yr ago. It's small, but good around the yard, and one of the most reliable two strokes I've had. A few pumps and it's off, even after sitting all winter! Unfortunately, the blue plastic...

    Husky 254XP Again

Thanks everyone. The $200 P&C isn't going to happen for this $150 saw! The interchange question is only for the cylinder, since I have a new piston. My 254 book is down in the shop, but I know the bore is 45mm. I'll search for IPLs, but if someone has links handy I'd appreciate getting them...

    Husky 254XP Again

OK, got piston, cleaned bore with acid, but still some apparent small scoring of the chrome. It runs great, but I'd like to get a new/good used cylinder. Please recommend sources, or let me know if you have one. What other cylinders would fit? We also bored out some of the holes in the...

Yes, second time losiing the piston. Used saw I bought for a son. Ran fine but died when he ans a brother were using it...scored piston with metal smeared over the ring, right by the exhaust port. Replaced piston, ran fine again for months, then died when teenage grandson was using it on some...
