    Ruined Chains?

    Please send pic's. I have seen a lot of the low kickback with the rakers bent over for saftey purpose, but I've never seen a full chisel chain rakers bend over.....unless you were cutting through a spike or something and the teeth would be mucked up pretty bad too.

    If it is in clear few of sunlight and open around the tree the tree should straiton itself to grow towards the sun. I had some of my small sawtooth oaks get bent realy bad a couple of years ago and they straiton back. Took them a few months though.

    I use an air compressor to blow off the the chunks and then a good ole' scrub in the mineral spirits tank works good for mime. On things that I shouldn't put in the mineral spirits tank like some of the old painted stuff I use dishwashing liquid and hot water. I clean the chains in mineral...

    Welcome to AS! 20 Cords Wow! It's according to how much time you have on your hands. You can do it with a maul a little along at the time everyday and on the weekends if you think your up to it. It aint' easy I've split by hand up until this year and I bought a splitter, makes it much easier...

    I know it is hard to part with a saw, I've parted with a few myself over the years to trade up to newer ones, but the pain goes away and is replaced by this numb feeling where a chainsaw use to be and you get over it..:cheers:.. But there is no shame in getting someone elese to remove a tree...

    Brought home a 362

    Excellent choice....:yourock:.... I'm ready to cut with one to see how It compares to the 361. Must be careful though and keep my CAD from kicking in.....:yoyo:
