    Husqvarna 394 Intermittent Lean

And I’ll ckeck that comp release!! I did reuse the old one. yes. I thought it would be the case half fit earlier and checked it with a straight edge. How would I check a carb air lock from heat?

    Husqvarna 394 Intermittent Lean

Thanks for the responses. The system here generated similar threads and one said check the tank vent. Ok - I’ll try again!

    Husqvarna 394 Intermittent Lean

Thank you sir. I can only get the lean while playing with it hard. Typically milling. By the time I get it out of the frame and set up, I get no leaks.

    Husqvarna 394 Intermittent Lean

Husqvarna 394 Intermittent lean Although I didn’t see the crack in the intake, I converted it to a 395. Intermittent lean continued. Changed fuel line, seals, checked carburetor, same problem. Installed new impulse connector to cylinder. New impulse line. Broke down case. New bearings...

    Wood shed roof strength

18 to 20 foot length at seven feet width, With object of minimizing the number of posts /columns, instead of putting your columns at corners cantilever the ends 5 feet with a 10 foot girder span at center. If you want 7 feet of coverage, place columns in 1 foot on the high side and low side...

Husky 55 Rancher stops running after cutting larger wood.

The 55 was bad to strip out the carburetor attachment bolts. They are threaded into plastic. I would start by checking this, it can lead to a lean condition consistent with all the problems you have reported.

Are there any woods you can't cook over?

sassafras, or the oil in it, is a known carcinogenic. It used to be my favorite smoker wood and I've got no idea if the smoke is actually hazardous but after I looked at a beautiful smoked brisket and didn't want to eat it, I knew I couldn't cook over it anymore.

    Jonsered 910, 920, 930 ???

Buck is right - the 910's are closed ports. Happy to find this old thread, I've a pristine 910 here that's never, to my knowledge, been opened up. And it's been worked hard over the years but well cared for. It would benefit from a new piston. Has anyone any experience with taking a 288 piston...

Do we need to have a Georgia GTG?

Count me in. I've got a few saws I can bring including a piped 3120. I'd love to talk with folks that know how to make these run! Be happy to load up a sizable trunk of white or red oak.

    Plastic gas tank repair

Por15 Even when a 3120 separates the tank half's, this stuff works. Use the cleaner first and follow the directions.

Do we need to have a Georgia GTG?

I'd like to think the same but my ex's would disagree! I'm up in north GA -- would love to do one of these things.

    Any Idea What This Is???

funny thing -- i took an old corroded 288 crank today in a 20 ton press and bent the steel punches, snapped the carbide. Would anyone know if there's an on - off side? Or maybe a special way of holding your mouth?

having trouble identifying husky 181 crank case seal

set of thin piston rings for the 181? Otto Engine works 410-398-7340 For custom rings, they're reasonable. Thanks to Jacob J

Know the 394 in and out?

That's probably a very good idea -- inner tube rubber can be placed from the intake and muffler to cyl. Those don't have a separate impulse, it's through the intake block, so I use a spark plug hole compression fitting adapted to the vacuum. Check the impulse hole through the intake for cracks...

    Chainsaw Boots

having just got 24 stitches out of my hand, i have a whole new attitude about safety equipment. i'm slow and careful and pay attention and haven't been seriously hurt in over 4 decades of saw use. When it happens, it's fast. So my new slippers are clodhoppers with steel toes and kevlar...

    Another 394 project

Seal placement on the 394 can be interesting. It's 5mm down on the flywheel side but only .5mm on the clutch side.

    25' beams

http://www.awc.org/pdf/WSDD/TOC.pdf This is the bible for wood structures although I'm not sure you can access it all on line. You'll have lots of fun studying over it!

    25' beams

Although milling logs fall into that area of I hope I do this someday, I know something of engineering. If the long span logs, the loft floor joists, can be made a bit longer so that the ends cantilever out beyond the support walls; it will reduce deflection. The loft floor can be utilized as...
