lol, reminds me of a pic that i have of a oppossum that caught a 30/30 at about 10 ft..... its a lil to gory for most people though..

better to have it lower, then u can just roll it on there. it took us a while to figure out the best way to do it. this was the first day we got it. the reason lower is better is because we ONLY split the big logs with this. all the lil logs go to a hydr splitter. and no body wants to pick up...

we can run a day on about 4-6 gallons or so.... and with that splitter in an 8hr day, we can split around 3-4 cords.

we use the other splitter (our hydraulic one) for most of our splitting. this stickler splitter will split anything however, so we can go through a tree with a 40 inch trunk. our other splitter cant. and when u start splitting up one of those big logs, the wood stacks up quick lol!

even more where i live lol. I live a lil south of austin, and there is nothing but live oak out there. the hill country has too many cedars.... we barely have any.

dont really know the age of the tree since we didnt cut into the trunk. that and i dont have very much experience with burr oaks, so i really dont know how much they grow...

dont worry, i wouldve said the same thing lol. he really is a safe guy, if he wasnt, i wouldnt have let him kill all those animals with me lol. and trust me, we kill lots of animals.

if ur thinking his finger is in the trigger.... cameras make things seem like something they arent. trust me, he is one of the safest guys i know/hunt with when it comes to firearm safety.

ive never been on a coon hunt with dogs and whta not, but i want too. The coons i kill are becuase they are a pest and eat our feed and what not... not to mention that it is fun to run em down on foot and shoot em with a pistol....
