Switching a Stihl MS362 from .325 back to 3/8 pitch. Good call?

I prefer 3/8 for actual firewooding and general wood cutting. I have .325 on a fencerow----trim saw that is 50cc. A 60cc can easily pull that 3/8 with a 20 in bar.

When to change single wall stove pipe?

My single wall black pipe going up to the insulated ceiling box is 25 yrs old and going strong. I have no intentions of replacing it when it is in good condition and not leaking or rusting through, etc.

what firewood kinds be side pine i should not burn in camp fires wood stove and fireplace

I burned Ponderosa Pine, quite exclusively, when living in Western SD and Eastern WY with no issues but all the wood was very dry and seasoned well. Would it be safe to make the comment that any of the coniferous woods will burn well and cleanly if they are seasoned properly?

    60cc chainsaw choice

If you are settled on a 60cc then the 620P would be a great choice. I am partial to Jonsereds and Husqvarna and they have been good to me. I have a Husqvarna 555 and I really like it but if I was buying another in that size it would be the Echo 620. I like that I can tune them and work on em...

    372xp

If you are meaning the flippy caps, I put them on my 555 because I really like them and I have had no trouble with em so far. Seem to be quite durable.

    Husqvarna sharpening guide questions

Your .58 is the drive link width not your overall chain width. It could be that your sharpener is for .325 chain size and your actual chain is .375 (3/8). If it is the Husqvarna roller guide it will say the size on the sharpener.

    Makita 6421 or EA6100

I believe the 6421 is built on the same chassis as the 7900 so the weight is going to more than the 6100 if that is a factor for you.

    Found this at a fleemarket.

I was not aware and didn't think the Remington Arms Company was the same outfit as the Remington saws.....

Swedish Torch - cutting upright or lying down?

The entire family is certainly welcome. We have some that bring the family and make an outing of it. Friday afternoons usually involve last minute preparations for Saturday. We will have the grill or a fire ring going to cook meat on for Friday evening, so bring something you want to grill and...

    Fiskars Maul and hookaroon question.

I've got an X25, X27 and a Fiskars Hookaroon. I love them all. The X25 was my first and is still my favorite over the X27. I have heard rare occasions of the splitting axes breaking but Fiskars warranties them by sending out a new one so it's tough to beat that.

    Glass door on woodstoves

I love to watch the flame show on our Pacific Energy stove, too. Also agree it's the best way to know what kind of fire you have going in there.

    AutoTune and altitude

The Autotune and Mtronic will adjust very rapidly, no need to do re set procedures to cut at different altitudes or temperatures. It will run and sound a bit funky for a couple seconds but will start adjusting to new environment immediately. Start em up and cut wood!
