    The Best Trailering PLug

The one you are using should be the most heavy duty. The 7 pin blade style is the most common. Make sure you put a good dose of dielectric grease on the pins and it should be fine. Also the way you store the plugs can make a difference.

Thinking about a 4x4 Forestry Truck

Brakes might be a big difference. Hydraulic vs. air.

Thinking about a 4x4 Forestry Truck

Looks like that truck would need new rubber all around.

Ive used that saw while timber framing before. Not sure how happy it will be doing rips. Make sure your blade is nice and sharp. Sweet find and price though

What vehicle to remove <3ton driftwood from beaches

First thing that came to mind for me was track loader as well. 3 ton piece of driftwood. Yikes. Can you cut it up into smaller pieces? I would want forks and a grapple.

compact tractor versus mini skid steer

I’d go for a track loader. How are you going to load a truck with the mini skid or Compact tractor?

    Firewood Stuck with Ice

Anything other than hitting it with a hammer, ax, sledge, maul, pipe etc is a waste of time and energy. Get someone else to smack it if you can’t

    Ms461 recoil

You can’t get them together with some super glue? Just replace the pull and the line if you can’t get them together.

Raising Soil Grade - Protecting Existing Trees

Do what you can, but plant new trees. I doubt those will last in the long run with such drastic grade change. And not sure what foundations consist of over there, but be careful with that build up fill if it isn’t compacted properly. My guess is houses are on stilts and not foundations or slabs...

    What is this?

I’m taking a guess that this is walnut, but I don’t really know. Picked it up for free at town dump.

    Burning REALLY WET wood.

Sounds like you need to rotate your wet uncovered wood into your dry storage area more often. You’re going to lose Btu’s burning it wet, even if it’s seasoned.

    Cutting wood

Yeah. I mark my bar with sharpie. I use 14” pieces so I buck my logs into 56” lengths.

    Tips on burning unseasoned wood

Don’t. Plan ahead, and buy your wood for the following year. No such thing as too dry imo
