    Automated External Defibrillator

Let me also clarify my point. An AED has its place in saving certain heart attacks, trama being one of them. However, my point was I'd rather have a crew trained in CPR with no AED available than an AED with people standing around not knowing CPR.

    Automated External Defibrillator

I'm a Chief Officer on a Fire Department and Medical 1st responder. I personally have performed CPR on over a dozen people, with only 2 successful outcomes. The key is immediate compressions. I think the most i important thing is to have every crew member trained in hands on compressions. In...

    Shorted delivery

I'm sorry but if your stacking your wood 5' high, then thats not a face cord. If your packing a full cord 4X8X5 then your next face is only 1' high. Thats the way my math works, your asking for extra wood. Pete

Really, You want me to work for scrap!

We must be the only industry that our customers want us to work for the scrap. Have you ever heard someone ask a roofer to re-roof their house and for payment you can keep the old shingles. How about a plumber, they could keep the old sink. REALLY!!

This just happened to my Heat Mor 400. If your sure your door seal is OK and your ash door is closed tight then it's your blower damper doors. Your blowers are held on by 2 thumb nuts. Make sure your power is off take out your blower(s) and wire brush the doors to make sure they are free and...

reasonable hourly rate for extremely large black oak limb removal?

The first thing I noticed was that the cables all looked to be way to low to be effective. Everything else after that would raise a red flag to me.

    chain storage

I use the plastic coffee containers. The Maxwell House comes in Red, Blue, and Green. Water tight and they have built in handles. I use a sharpie to right the chain size on it and I have one for dull chains. You can also spray WD-40 in the container to keep them lubed. Pete

    OWB Chimney Fire

I watch my Granddaughter for my Son who works 2nd shift. He usually picks her up around midnight. Last night he comes in and wakes me up and says "Wow you have flames coming out your stack about 2' ". Of course I think hes kidding because I've had a OWB for 17 years and he really didn't seem...

GRCS lowering device is it worth it?

I've owned one for 6 years now and I have to tell you it is not worth it for a lowering device. However, if you need to lift a limb or pretension a limb, or do jobs you thought only a crane can do, then it is priceless!

    Proper topping technique?

My motto is "Plan for the worst, hope for the best" , it seems by reading your post your motto is opposite of mine. Lets just say the only thing that went wrong was the limb knocked down your ladder. How long could you have hung there before rescue? Was someone there to do a rescue? Your...
