    Sold Dolmar/Makita 6400-7900

Thanks everyone I did buy a saw from a pawn shop in the Detroitish area. No more funds in the saw budget beyond that. Changing post to sold since I’m done shopping. All of the offers were fair. I’ve bought several saws off AS over the last decade and all have been excellent transactions.

    Sold Dolmar/Makita 6400-7900

I’ve had three reasonable offers from this ad, I hope the same offers find you. There is a nice 6400 in PA and a few that are more expensive. The sellers will probably direct message you. Great deals and good people on this site to deal with as sellers.

Sold Makita DCS6421 (X2) price reduced

Saw #1 arrived to MI today as promised. I cut about 1/2 a cord before the wife called me in for dinner. I can honestly say the saw is better than I anticipated. It looks and runs great. It was packed well and came UPS with tracking. LogSawyer74 is a straight up seller who I would buy from again...

Fall 2013 Firewood with 3pt Pallet Forks

And finally, here is a sample of this years wood on pallets and my setup for moving them around. Each skid is about 1/7 of a cord. That's as much as the old JD can comfortably handle, but if it keeps me from wheelbarrowing wood all over the yard, I'm all for it. Notice also that each one is a...

Fall 2013 Firewood with 3pt Pallet Forks

I also have to mention that I spent a few hours, several weeks back, at my girlfriends Dad's taking care of a big Oak that blew down. It was blocking the access trail to one of the hunting blinds. Back in August, I also put in a new concrete patio near my side door which will be the new...

Fall 2013 Firewood with 3pt Pallet Forks

A few more to add from the blocking and splitting phases.

Fall 2013 Firewood with 3pt Pallet Forks

Its been busy around my place lately. After taking a year off from really doing any firewood processing at all, I've recently made it a priority to get my 2014/2015 wood put up before hunting season and the holidays arrive. First, had to do some cutting. Ended up with this. Dad...

    Some people

I agree with the many people above giving the advice to carry on with your chores and recreation as normal and simply invite Katherine to remove herself from your land if she decides to pay you another visit. And oh my does this make me appreciate my neighbor. I was invited to cut on his...

    Log Length in SW PA

I won't be of much help on a source for wood two states over, but I think the majority of the AS community will agree that the terms "log length" and "seasoned" don't generally go together. If you need properly seasoned wood for this burning season look for cut/split/stacked wood for sale from a...

arrow, Where did your Quad crack? I have nothing but great things to say about my 4300, it was new in 2010 and throws off a ton of heat. No older model to compare mine to, so I guess I can't comment on the old vs. new Quad differences.

    New wood stove help

My Vermont Castings Intrepid II was purchased off of CL for $300. That was the entire setup from stove to chimney cap, straight out of the guys living room. His new wife was scared their soon to be born child would get burned if they continued to use it. The stove burns clean and puts off a...

    Reworking my Quadrafire 5700

My goodness the safety police came out swinging in post two of the thread, way to go! But enough already, I couldn't agree more, the ash pan on my 4300 looks to be so useless I have never even attempted to use it. Been scooping them out since day one. Good for you on working to fix an obvious...
