I acquired a Mall Model 11 saw this weekend and need some help with it. The saw appears in good condition but has been partially disassembled. The engine and main body are complete but the starter assembly, clutch and gear case have been removed. It looks like all the parts are there but not...

MALL Model 11 manual or diagrams. I picked up a Mall Model 11 this weekend. Saw is in good condition but has been partially disassembled. It appears to all be there but I am not sure and not sure exactly how it all goes back together. Engine is complete and spins by hand ok. Starter assembly...

    RedMax Question

Not sure what part of Texas you are in but EWI in Houston is the distributor for RedMax. If you don't do business with them, I am sure they can direct you to a dealer in your area.

Building a chainsaw workshop - Ideas, Comments, Suggestions...

This is correct. It has nothing to do with the pressure rating of PVC but the fact that as PVC ages it becomes brittle, especially when exposed to the elements and UV light. Take a look at a piece of PVC that has been laying around exposed for a few years. New PVC will be flexible and bendable...

    STIHL picco duro carbide chain

I have one of the 16" Picco Duro3 carbide chains that Stihl is putting on the MS230s. Had a customer buy a 230 but didn't want the Duro chain so I swapped him for a regular and took the duro home and put it on one of my 011's. I removed a bunch of hedges off our property this summer and it...

How thick are your orange and white goggles?

Well I work at a dealership, so if I walked in and there was one setting here I would definately be trying to get it out back in the test log and see how it compared to my MS260. If its the saw its supposed to be, the $549 wouldn't scare me away from it.

    New Stihl FS 250 Trimmer

Congradulations on your present. I have the FS130R and like it but the next one will be a FS250 Bike Handle. I have a Polycut head on mine now and it works great in most grass and I have the 3 blade brush knife for heavier work. The only problem I have had with the Polycut was losing...

    looking at getting a stihl

Sure looks like an MS 880 going by the slope of the filter cover and the way it flares over the handle. Also the length from the wrap handle to the case split.

    Stihl Pricing

Stihl can't "fix" the price on anything or make a dealer sell at a certain price. They can have a "suggested" price and they do advise their dealers to sell at that price, one to keep the profit in the product so the dealers are making some money, and two to try to keep the playing field level...

    Stihl HT101 vs HT56

Both would probably handle the work you are talking about. The HT-101 is going to give you more reach than the HT-56. Also as stated earlier, the HT-56 uses a different bar and chain so replacements are going to cost more and may not be readily available. If you don't need the extra length...

    Stihl chain differences/upgrades???

Stihl does offer a "yellow" chain for the 200T. It would be a 63PMC instead of the 63PMC3.
