    Echo CS-400 Chainsaw Muffler Mods

Bump Hello Everyone! Been a really long time since I've posted here, and I just re-read this thread and thought that it needed a bump to the top again for anyone who owns an Echo cs-370, or cs-400. Since the last time I posted I installed a baliey's Arbor Pro 16" bar (down from the stock...

    Can I Order a Dolmar 7900 Online?

Hey guys, I am looking to purchase a new Dolmar 7900 in about 2 months time and was looking around on the internet for a dealer that stocks the 7900 and sells it via there website. The only thing I've found are a few guys on e-bay and I'd rather give my business to someone on this site that...

    Echo CS-400 P/C Upgrade?

Can I ask why you can port a CS-450P and not the CS-400? I have a 2 Dremel tools, all necessary cutters and sanders, a dial caliper, and the need for speed. Is the only thing holding me back is that no one has attempted it on a 400 or the crankcase design, or what? Adam

    Echo CS-400 P/C Upgrade?

so I guess because of the reed-valve carburetor design its worthless to even discuss porting the 300 or 341 because reed-valve engines can't move the large volume of air needed to make porting these small tophandles worthwhile? I am pretty new to saws, and I got pretty excited after watching...

    Echo CS-400 P/C Upgrade?

Thanks for the info. When I first bought my cs400 I thought it had pretty good power for its weight and only being 40cc's. Then I read TeamFast's Muffler Mod thread... that muffler mod made a HUGE difference. I just recently bought a 16inch bar and some 30NK bailey's chain. I think I will...

    Echo CS-400 P/C Upgrade?

I have a nice CS-400 and I want more power. It does pretty good for a 40 cc saw with a muff mod, but I want more grunt. I am going to buy a Dolmar 7900 this spring but I want to keep the CS400 around for limbing or a project saw. So heres my questions: 1. Has anyone ported the CS-400 with...

    CAD!!! Dolmar 7900- $350

NICE! 350 is a good score for that saw, especially with the HD kit.

    What insurance...and how much?

As said before me, thank you for all the above info. I definitely will use this post when I go to give my broker a call this spring. Right now I have a small landscaping business with around 90-100 accounts, looking to grow more this year. I have landscaping insurance, and will talk to my guy...

Its the greyish/white saw. I thought that the way Echo mounted the handle looked funky. Rep added. Thanks for the tip. Adam

Who wants to go in on a 54 gallon drum of VP SEF94 Fuel?

You know, I was talking about Ethanol today with some people. I hate that almost every single gas station within a 5 mile radius of my house is *May Contain Up To 10% Ethanol. I was listening on the radio today on NPR that NASCAR just inked a 6 year deal with Sunoco for a fuel called "Sunoco...

    Echo CS-300

Hey guys, I just traded a laptop for a brand new in box CS-300. I did just recently buy a CS-341 and I like it except for the bar oil that leaks through the clutch cover and onto the top of the saw, its like a magnet for chips. I know the 300 is built basically the same as the 341. Anyway...

Storing Saws and other 2stoke Equipment for Winter

Ok, thanks for the quick replys gentlemen. I think this is what I am going to do based on the general consensus of guys that actually store their 2stroke equipment outside for the winter. Winter Procedure 1. Empty Saws/Trimmers/Blowers 2. Run until totally empty (choke and repeat if...

Storing Saws and other 2stoke Equipment for Winter

Hey guys, I have a unique problem this winter. I live in Pennsylvania, the temp this morning was 24 degrees F. The last week it dipped below 20. I'm getting my equipment winterized, usually everything is stored with Sta-bil fuel stabilizer in our cold garage. This year I have to store nearly...

i know i might regret this post

I've been running RedMax trimmers for the last 10 years and I love them. The specs on that Stihl look pretty sweet though. 31.4cc or whatever isn't that more in the brushtrimmer category? sounds like it to me. That price point is killer though at 335$. I might just pick one up the beginning of...
