    Usps sucks!

I ship out 75-100 packages per week and almost all of them are shipped US Postal first class or priority. First class takes the same as priority 3-4 business days, we get packages to California in 4 days from NY. With parcel post you need to get a tracking number, it's about 75 cents more but...

Stihl MS391, my first saw, help me accessorize it

Any of your name brand oils are good either Stihl, Echo, Husqvarna etc. all make a good quality oil. On top of a good oil, clean air filter, and sharp chain, using good fresh gas is also important. Just make up small amounts, because gas now starts to go stale and lose it's octane within a month...

What's the best backpack blower on the market?

Overall the 600's have been very reliable, the first ones we sold to commercial guys are starting to get worn out. I haven't run into any other issues with the valves, that I've seen people talking about online. For a period of time we were having issues with coils going bad, but that was more...

Here in the Northeast our 660's are shipped with a single small bar spike. Bar spikes and top handles are a regional option depending location on the location of the distributor.

    Stihl Psrt Numbers 660 441

All of your numbers are correct, and will work together. The parts will also work with your 441, the muffler on a 441 is one piece.

    Ok saw mechancs..a refresher needs...HOW

As far as I know, there's no special tool for setting the inlet needle lever on the Tllotson's like there is for Zama, and Walbro carbs. I usually set the the lever flush with the carb body, and seem to have the best luck that way. I'll probably go into work today for a few hours and I'll snap a...

Price hike on the new 291

The MS290 isn't going to be discontinued for YEARS, the MS291 is available now and is 100$ more than the MS290. But it's not even comparable, it's far and away a better saw, and even better than the MS280 for the same money. Dolmar up until a year or 2 ago was selling 7900's for next to...

    How good was the 262XP?

The 262xp I owned seemed to lack grunt, it had great power with a 18" bar. But I ran it side by side with a 036, and a 359 with 20" and 24" bars and the 262 just couldn't pull it with the same authority. And for a Husky it does has one of their worst filter setups.

What makes the MS 261 better than the 346 XP?

I've run both saws, and find this all to be true. The 346 is impressive but the 346 seems to have a narrower powerband. The 261 isn't such an in your face power but it's very usable power, and plenty of it.

    Stihl O34 av Super advice

Which bearing went? the wrist pin bearing or crankshaft bearing? What you're describing is pretty typical wear on the cylinder for saw of that age. I'd get a set of crank seals, new fuel line, impulse line if needed, cylinder gasket, and a OEM piston either new or used, and new set rings if...

    ms 211 vs ms 250

The 211 is a rugged little saw and I haven't had a single complaint about the saws, from anyone using them. I use my 211 primarily for cutting up 6-10" iron wood trees, and pallets around the shop. It's more a trim/ pruning saw more than a firewood cutter. The MS250 is plain and simple a...

Stihl Ultra in the work saws, Klotz Original Techniplate in the race saws. Only reason I don't run Klotz in the work saws is the price.

    Price of Chainsaw Chain Question

Competition definetaly helps keep down the price of chain, and there seems to be a break off point where people just won't buy chain more expensive. With regards to competition, we can buy Oregon chain from 3 different distributors, 2 Windsor distributors, 2 Carlton, Stens selling Silver Streak...

    Chainsaw line-up. What is yours?

A common line up around here is MS200T w/ 16" bars MS250 or Husky 350's w/ 16" bars for the new guys on the ground, cheap and easily replaced if they break it. Husky 357's or Stihl 361/2's wtih 20" bars Stihl 04/440 or 460's usually with a 28-32" bar HT131 Polesaw. 12" bar They'll have a...

    Stihl Dealer

You guys are correct were not to alter, or modify the emissions features of a piece of equipment. So this means no muffler mods, no removing spark arrestor screens, no porting etc... you can technically be fined by the EPA for them. We can adjust carbs, BUT if the have limiter caps we REQUIRED...

We all knew it was coming. Stihl MS 441C-M-Tronic

This week is exciting we get the MS261 (finally), MS291, and MS441 CM. And from what the email said the MS290 will be here for years to come.
  20. D

    The MS261 is here!!

Yep I got the email this morning, they'll be in stock the beginning of the week at the distributor. Only reason for the delay in shipping them was they waited until the MS260's were gone.
