I have a titan 57 that I have had since new. I stopped using it 4-5 years ago. I planned on reusing it again this year but oil lines were cracked. I replaced all fuel and oil lines, cleaned air filter, gave it a new spark plug and it started fine. Took it in the woods and found it would bog...
cs-450p
i just picked up a cs450p slightly used. How much have you used your saw? Did you remove the limiter caps and adjust the carb? If so how much difference did it make to the saw? Mine idles great and in any position, starts like a dream but feels a little down on power fo me. This may be...
I just picked up a slightly used echo cs-450p and I was wondering about the limiter tabs on the carb. I tried the saw and it runs and idles great. Starts very easy and idles in any position you drop it in. I just down sized from 57cc to 45cc so I do miss a bit of power. I am concerned about...
I was thinking that clam shell design didn't matter that much. If it a good saw it should last 10-15 years cutting fire wood before it needed to be rebuilt. I thought there would be more plus/minus then just design.
Who buys a new car or truck based on how the engine is designed.
Anyone have any likes or dislikes over stihl ms270. It is $100 more then a
ms 250 and $70 more then a husky 445.
A echo 450 costs the same as the ms 270. ($500)
Canadian prices
When I decided to retire my Titan 57 I didn't know how cheaply made saws were around. It looks like I my have to get a pro saw so that i won't endup with a saw with a plastic engine.
I live in Canada and have bought 30+ things from ebay. I made the mistake of getting it sent by ups/fedex the first couple of times. I got gouged with fees. After that I got everthing sent by USPS. No problems or fees. If its made in north america there is no duty. If it is made somewere else...
Have anyone had any use on a shindaiwa 502? ($500 cad).Nearest dealed is 2 hours away.
What about a echo 530 or 450, are they any good? Dealer 5 min away for echo, stihl and husky. No othe dealers close.
I looked at the husky 445 today. They look cheap and easy to break.
Anyone have any anount of use out of these saws?
The stihl looked a little more rugged but not much.
Anybody got any advise on a echo 450 or 530?
A lot of people seem to like the husky 346xp. What is there strong points?
The price around here is crazy. Sounds like they are selling in $450 range in the US. Is this correct??? If so anybody selling them online and shipping to Canada?
How come there are so many husky manufacture referbished saws on ebay? It sounds like they are having a lot of trouble with certain models. 445,55 rancher, 450.
Thanks for the info. It was a Husky 450 for $499 +tax not a 350.
Sounds like a ms 260 is a good bet. Is there much power difference from a 260 to a 290. A friend has a 290 and my titan 57 has more power(even he admits this). A 290 goes for $500 but is a little heavy.
I was trying to stay within a budget and I am not going to spend almost $800 tax in for a 346xp. Any advise on the saws I had listed would be a great help or something else in those brands. Husky 350 is $500 here and a stihl 260 is $560. I am trying to save a few bucks but I don't want a saw...
