What is everyones favorite landing saw???

It definetely varies from region to region.......even over here on the west coast we could d#%@ near get away with a 20" bar now....they wont let you cut anything makes you smile when it hits the ground anymore. :chainsaw:

    bar length vs hp

All of the saws that you buy have a recomemded bar length that the manufacturer believes would be best.......depending on their size they always recomend the smallest bar, but they usually run a size or to bigger than the smallest recomended just fine ;) Id say put the biggest bar on the...

    Saws on E-bay

I agree, even if you are able to look and run a saw before you buy it there is always that chance that it might not run tomorrow......I know a guy that wont even sell his old saws it could be just 4 or 5 years old just because of that reason.....personally I wouldnt buy a saw on ebay. But you...

32" bar Chain snaking in the wood

The most common problem is that the chain isnt sharpened the same on each side......bending a 32 inch bar is pretty hard to do....and you would definetely hear the difference, let alone see it.

    hyd valves

Would that work with this kind of a setup??? Im just thinking that if you hooked them up in a series you may have to be pressing both levers to get the oil to flow through???
  9. R

    hyd valves

I would just tee them....saves money and a small amount of time. As long as you know your pump is big enough to supply both feeds with pressure.

    Skip chain on short bars

I agree with 056 I agree with 056........A skip chain will cut just fine if it is sharp. Also just as 056 said, a little trick is to file your rakers, which makes any chain cut better. The more you sharpen your chain the smaller they get, therefore you file your rakers down every other or...
