    tackyfier

Woohoo, I didn't know that. I'm gonna fry my pancakes in bar oil next time, instead of frying in vegi oil and adding syrup later.

How Hard To Find Wood To Cut In Portland?

Check with the BLM and the forestry service. If you go, make sure you get up to date information on snow on the ground. Last time I went to a forestry woodcutting site, the person who sold me the permit($10 for two cords, cut within 2 weeks of purchasing the permit) said there was no snow on the...

    husky xp synthetic blend?

Racing 2T Sources The local Schuck's has Racing 2T so you might try any CSK store; Checker, Schuck's, or Kragen. I've also ordered Racing 2T through Napa by the case.

Can anyone give pictures of holding Stihl MS880

Michelle, your husband is a lucky guy! My girlfriend says that after you get him that saw, he needs to pamper you shamelessly for at least a week. :D

What 2 cycle oil would you use in a pinch?

Some people mix Biodiesel 10:1 instead of 2 stroke oil and don't seem to have any problems........I don't think using an off-brand 2 stroke oil for a couple tanks will hurt anything. I don't see much excuse for NOT having extra 2 stroke oil around, though.

    Donating Chainsaws to the poor

The local Harbor Freight store sells refurbished Homelites for about $100. Also, Sears service centers(not the department store) sell Craftsman/Poulan saws for about the same price. I'd lean towards the Craftsman; lesser of two evils.

    New idea for inexpensive chaps!

Tell him to find himself a log about the size of one of his legs. Have him make a set of his "chaps" and strap it on the log, rev up his Wild Thing, and see what it does to his "chaps" and his "leg." A couple light touches and then a good solid cut. Then inquire as to the status of his health...

    Your saw dealer?

Dealer blues There are several dealers in the area, and I honestly wonder how most of them stay in business. I stopped into one to price a 372xp and check on comparable Stihls and Echos. The person behind the counter had to look up all the information on the saws; hp, weight, cost, bar length...

What is best cleaner to clean-up saws with?

What, no one uses their dishwasher? Note: those with wives/girlfriends are advised to try this at their own risk. Seriously, compressed air is your friend. If it's REAL bad I'll use Simple Green and the garden hose, like many others. Then compressed air again. Do any of you small engine...

    New Use for a Chainsaw

Car alarm and a shotgun. Loaded with rocksalt, if you're feeling nice. Wait, UK, guns are a no-no. Hmm. I'd say park the car in the driveway or garage if you can, and put a gate between the street and the driveway.

    firewood prices

Hard to quantify, all the prices I know are for split wood. I'd say start high and lower your price until you get the sales you want.

    Crochet Hook Removes Limiter Caps

Hah! Try using her toaster oven to cure powder-coat parts. Mr. Russel, great idea, I'll definitely keep it in mind.

po'd at my competition since they have no workmans comp and dont with hold

Dark, it's a dog eat dog world, and you're wearing Milkbone underwear. If your situations were reversed, do you think for a second that your competitor would hesitate to blow the whistle? I don't mean to imply that something bad is ok just because someone else does it. However, your competitor...

Not trying to stir the pot, what OCTANE gas do you run in your saws?

I've run blue 100LL, saws liked premium pump gas better.

    Silence is Golden......

Go rip all the mufflers off the excavators and dump trucks? Edit: I have no idea how to make your saw quieter, my response was a pitiful attempt at humor.

soak chain in oil before use?

With a new chain I'll point the bar at something clean and run the saw at part throttle until oil starts slinging off the end, then get cutting. Doesn't take long.
