    Poor Dolmar parts service !

My local dealer has a really good stock of Dolmar parts, depends on your dealer more than Dolmar.

    7900 and 7910

SLR muffler, moved decomp, matte top cover. Same cc, rated .6 hp lower. I've heard it said that the difference is minimal, not at all what the numbers suggest.

What sealer do I use on cylinder?

Plumber's putty. Joking. Loctite 515 or 518 are the ones my local place uses.

Is This Normal When Buyer a New Chainsaw at a Dealer?

So it sat on the shelf, so what? Ain't like it was run. That hang up makes no sense at all to me. Five minutes of use and anyone else's finger prints are covered in dirt. Now the cap is a different issue - but you should have caught it while you were there though, then there was no argument they...

    Another Poulan F 200!

Very cool- our local saw shop has a bunch of mid twentieth century saws in the back, I think one may be one of these.

Should I snatch up this Dolmar PS-350?

Tear his arm off before he comes to his senses! That is a great little saw.

What brand is your main firewood saw?

    Dolmar 6400. Chomp, chomp...

    Mastermind Meets The Dolmar PS-6100

Having tried this saw, the system works very well to me. Doesn't lad up and release like others, which I hate. Just pulls easier at cold starts and at hot starts you just lift up, no need to yank it.

    Husqvarna cylinder ID

Ok, looking at it. It's an NE. Ports thru skirt, solid transfers, decomp. About 1.75 inch or 44.3mm. Thanks for the help everyone!

Rethink...I think the skirt is sold. Been a few days....yah, the transfers are holes in the wall.

    Husqvarna cylinder ID

I guess I say they look small as I'd expect something wild on an XP! This doesn't have removable covers, it's one piece. Skirt is solid. It has a decomp. I will measure it tomorrow to confirm. I'm thinking of selling it, there's plenty of projects in the group and I don't have a base for it to...

    Husqvarna cylinder ID

OK, I was given a box of Husqvarna parts and burned up complete and semi complete saws. In there is the top end and base from what may be a 353 or a 346xp...the base is smashed and the ID plate missing. I have a silver clutch cover and recoil assemblies tagged 353 and 346xp. Any of those could...

    Jonsered 2166 vs 2172

2172 is about $200 more. Both great saws, my buddy has a 2172 and it rips!

    dealer misfortune

Aww man that sucks. Yes, stuff is stuff and no people got hurt...but you know that's still got to be heart wrenching for the guy to see all that work go up in smoke.

    Sealant / gasket maker

Yamabond is a Yamaha product I guess...and Hondabond Honda? Thanks for the replies.
