A friend took my old chains and decoupaged (or however you spell it) them into a bar top he made. It was tongue and groove wood, and he cut the chains and laid them in the groove. Nice looking bartop. Ted

I used cutting edges off of a dozed to make mine. Heated the metal up first and stick welded into a V. Then welded the wings on. It's as stubborn as I am! Ted

They are going to heat with l.p. now, so no need for wood. They are fine financially, just too frail to cut wood.

Me too. New distributor wanted them to move to a major hiway, become fully stocked, and wanted acct numbers for savings acct and life insurance policy. I see why they said no. Apparently being a 45 yr dealer wasn't good enough. Another reason to not like stihl.

Sorry to say, but this has been cancelled. The owners are closing the end of the year due to the new Stihl distributor setting impossible demands on them. Was looking forward to this, but I have no control over this decision. A big thank you to all who were planning to come! Ted

Mortalitool, the place where the charity cut is happening is a Stihl dealer. I would guess he has 044 stuff as that's what his personal saw is.

Just a reminder, this is an operating Stihl dealership. They sell chains, cheap. Just put a 72DL 3/8ths, 058 full chisel chain on my saw for $25.00 Plus you Hafta see this: he was going to close the shop because he couldn't start the big saws anymore. A customer built him a pnuematic chain saw...
