When listing a saw on an online auction site??

No matter what you do at an online auction site, the buyer can always get their money back....always. PayPal is geared towards the buyer, even if said buyer lies their backside off, breaks the item, or swap your working item for their crap(BTDT). PayPal forced me to give them money to ship...

    Jonsered Chainsaws

I'm thinking the 2188 is a bit over the value of my 064(she ain't pretty, she actually gets used to cut things)..... I have the 2186, and it's a heckfire of a saw, in fact....probably the most used in the stable. The 2094/95 just had a good time at MM, and is like having the breasts of a...

    Jonsered Chainsaws

Thanks for the input. As a matter of fact, the 064 I have came from the PNW(I purchased it from a fella on this forum)! Parts are something to consider..... Scott (modern is fun too) B

    Jonsered Chainsaws

Curious for opinions.... What model Jonsered saw would be comparable to the Stihl 064? Was thinking about either trading or selling mine and getting the Jonsered model(only to make them all the same pretty color in the shed). Scott (love me some red paint) B

Ash log values or what would you pay for them?

Try getting ahold of a tree service....they typically have to dump loads and pay a certain price per yard. If you have a way to move logs(I have par buckled them onto trailers if I want them bad enough), and by reducing the amount of waste they have to move....win-win! My ad asks "Do you have...

    Milling with a 372xpw

It'll be good for the short term, but New England is very nice to timbers left untreated in the wild. I'd say it'd be safe for snowmobile or 4wheeler traffic for about three to five years....heavier vehicle, eh....I'll sit back and have a cold one while other people drive over it :surprised3...

Ash log values or what would you pay for them?

I haven't paid for a log yet. There is C-List and many other ways to obtain free logs....although some of those ways involves felling trees and piling brush for landowners(not the easiest work, but most here don't mind a little sweat). I will say this though..... Firewood is priced by how...

    Ducks are coming soon

Salty? That's definitely a new term for me(at least it's not a widely used term in the Duck Capital of the World). BTW, $40 is a bargain price. There are fellas using the blanks we pour and selling for over $150 per! When I find my 'shape', I'll definitely be heading towards a big number...

    Ducks are coming soon

I get $40 per, plus shipping..... Scott (bargain ducks.....) B

    Ducks are coming soon

Been getting ready for duck season here. After all, got to pay for the chainsaws somehow!! It isn't wood, but the wife pours the acrylic and I turn them, has to count for something? These all are either tuned with Echo Timber double reed, or Echo Open Water single reed. Just some of...

Milling experience: is this normal ?

1-1/2 to 2 minutes for a 8' long 2' wide...seriously? I want to see a video, with a clock running(keeps the editing from happening) of this amazing feat! Maybe on a manual mill bandsaw, by not a piece of oak..... Scott (story time is over) B

Perssimon worth milling blanks to sell?

Depends.... I have a bunch of the stuff that is filled with mineral stain. I can't keep it(sells as fast as I cut it). I did have a few flitches of 'plain jane' stuff. Ended up burning it(couldn't give it away). Scott (photo's woulda helped) B
