    Jeepin Jon's Jeeps!

    Add another one to the fleet, I just got done with a resto-mod on this 89 4.0/AW4/short bed Commanche 4x4. I paid $250 for it not running, I have about 3k in it and I did all the work myself except paint.

    Jeepin Jon's Jeeps!

    My 01 truck started having transmission issues at 14k but it was out of the 36 months warranty. Ford would not cover the repair to the tranny even though they knew there was an issue with some of them. Apparently when the trannies where manufactured a locking ring was left loose on the clutch...

    Jeepin Jon's Jeeps!

    I give Ford some credit though, they didn't take any bail-out money from us, to that I commend them! Our Commander will be paid off this year and I might pick up one of the Fiesta's for an around town car to sip gas with. I owned 5 of the "original" Fiesta's back in the late 70's/early 80's...

    Homelite XL sprocket part number?

    I have a Homelite XL (Textron) that needs a sprocket in a bad way but I'm unable to find a good part number for the sprocket. Also, what is the proper chain for this saw with a 12" Oregon bar. Here is a pic of the saw, note that my saw has a handle that comes back to a "point" unlike...

    Echo CS-600P

    I "want" but dont need a 600, its a great saw! I'll get one someday Echo OPE are as good if not more dependable than Stihl and cost a lot less to buy and repair. I've been in the lawn care business for 25 years and have owned both and they are about equal IMHO. Stihl is great stuff but...

    What was your first ride?? --Just for Fun

    I will almost guarantee that no one had my first ride as their first ride! Most here have probably never even seen one! It was a 1966 Renault Dauphine, 50ci engine in the rear, water cooled. I dont have pics and its long gone but it looked like this, but not this good;

    Jeepin Jon's Jeeps!

    Nice fleet! Thank you! It was sold by my dad's second wife after he died, I searched for it and found it 3 years later in the back of a vacant lot with a blown engine, a trashed interior and a homeless guy living in it! I found the owner and bought it back for $400 and started the resto. I...

    Hello from a newbie, my fleet of junk saws!

    Thanks all! I just noticed today that my homie needs a sprocket! I had to take it down to push the fuel line back on the carb and noticed the excessive wear. I may have the wrong chain on it causing this. Oregon calls for a S48 and I have a S53 on there:dizzy: Time to go sprocket/chain...

    Hello from a newbie, my fleet of junk saws!

    Thanks for the warm welcome! Half of my lawn care equipment is stuff that others gave up on. I'm a diesel mechanic by day and weekend warrior at the lawn care thing. My hobbies(besides my Jeeps) is fixing junk and making it dependable. I got lucky on the 009, it was a real gem under all the...
