I replied to you somewhere else but here goes again. Start by changing fuel filters. They should be changed when you do your oil changes. When a fuel filter starts getting plugged with moisture and dirt cold weather can compound the problems.

Agree Fuel filters. At least that is the cheap place to start. Cold compounds fuel filter issues and machine starves for fuel. Filters should be changed on regular basis. Do it the same time your doing your oil changes and you should be good.

If there going to be building a road there going to have at least 20 tonne excavator coming out for that. Just contact the road building company and pay them a small fee to yank the stumps. Should take only a couple of hours at most.

Pretty tough to kill something that is so defenseless but like you say they are rats but of course everything breathing wants nothing but just to live. At least you took them out quickly leaving them in a garbage bag to bake in the heat would have been easy but not right.

How old is your machine? Check your rad. Often they fill up with wood dust and sap and need a major cleaning.

I've been using the Sandvic system for about 5 years and I think it is bullet proof. The cutters are strong and last a long time. No other system comes close to the Sandvic system. IMO

If your looking for rugged teeth in rocky areas goto the Sandvic grinding system. By far the toughest teeth I have ever used. I have not tried the multi tip so I cannot compare to those.

Check your fuel pick up tube. Over time it can suck up garbage and debris and jam up the tube. Also check your in line fuel filter if yours has one. If that's not the problem then you may have to start looking at injection pumps or maybe the cam shaft sensor. But the way you describe...
